Pros: Good price, plays all games maxed out at 1080p and the gpu wont even break a sweat, runs cooler then my previous card and the red black color matches my computer quite well.

Cons: The fan can get pretty loud when the gpu is under load. The graphics card is very big and heavy kinda worried if the pci-e slot can take the weight but so far it has, knock on wood.

Other Thoughts: So far this is the most powerful most reliable card ive ever used and for the price id say i got a good deal.

Pros: The card is great. It installed easy in a big case and the drivers are easy to install. I used this card to multi box wow with 3 instances of wow running. I was getting around 50-60fps on average for all 3 windows. I can run bioshock infinite on ultra with no issues.

Cons: This card is loud. 1 fan when spinning at high rpms is just loud. When the card spins up I can hear it through my Sennheiser PC 350 head phones that are a closed ear-cup design. I am going to buy an after market cooler. I am leaving 1 egg off because I will be spending 90 bucks on a cooler for a card I just spent 390 for.

Pros: performance, price(389.00), 2 free game downloads

Cons: length of card, newegg running out of stock to buy another one

Other Thoughts: well before I bought the card seen some of the reviews that were negative.. still bought card.. I don't know if I got a good card but I have had no issues of what these other people are going through.. updated the drivers to latest beta, no problems, no artifact tearing or blue screen crashes.. most games are found as very high or even ultra.. replaced sli'ed 560s' blows it out of water..
Only issue I had with the card was my old case could not fit it so research b4 you buy but not enough to knock an egg off..
hope it comes back in stock for me to buy one b4 income tax money runs out lol.. also have the card overclocked and no issues

Pros: Super fast for bitcoin mining.

Cons: None really.

Other Thoughts: Stability tops out at around 1170MHz Core Clock based on my tweaks on air cooling.
I can get about 690-695Mh/s with this card.
I haven't tested out it's gaming ability. I'm just using this strictly for mining.
I'm going to add a second card soon.

Pros: reference design, so i was able to flash it to that official amd/ati ghz card bios. a few seconds later, and it's at 1050/1500 stable, haven't touched anything else yet, performance is smooth as silk, yes, this is the blue pcb/no cross brace, but there are a bunch of after market backplates available if you want. beautiful match for my Crossover 2560x1440 glossy monitor!

Cons: none.

Other Thoughts: i love backplates, so having a simple black aluminum one made, though a beauty of a card as it is. 12.11 beta are stable here. very pleased

Pros: looks great and has a good rep as a decent 7970

Cons: i used a friends power supply to test my new system (only thing i haven't received yet is my power supply) everything seemed good until i ran a gpu benchmark, soon as the test started the gpu put out an electrical buzzing sound. i stopped test and haven't touched it again. i am going to try it with my power supply when i get it tomorrow and hope for the best but im not going to hold my breath

Cons: Poor driver coverage. only driver that works is 12.6. Every time I try to update the driver my pc freezes until I reload 12.6 or lower. This is a reference card and HIS can't get it straight. This republic of gamers web you must join to get support is for the birds.

I mean it totally screws up my system with BIOS overclock failures and the like

Pros: I understand after reading other comments, that this is NOT the Same GPU as pictured. However , unless they are charging for the Games it Comes with. Why the hell is it selling for 2X the price of the other 7970's??

Pros: 7970 is a great card that currently enjoys a better price/performance ratio than the gtx 680.

Cons: NOT AS PICTURED -- Despite receiving the correct model card as shown here, it does not match the pictures. The card has a blue PCB, and is missing the metal cross-bracket on the back of the card. I wanted a second card that would match the reference model 7970 I currently own (and that is pictured here) but that is NOT what you will receive.

Pros: Its a strong, beautiful card. Games look beautiful and its relatively quiet.

Cons: Myself and many others in online community forums have banned together to realize that this cards driver support is rendering it useless. The radeon HD 7xxx series is plagued with freeze ups and sound loops. It is sad to see such a strong card brought to its knees. After it happens a few times it becomes more frequent because the cards tolerance to the abuse only lowers the threshold for freezing. It is not a physical deffect with the card but many peoples will get fried (more MSI than HIS). If HIS sees this I would sincerely like to return my card. I will be contacting them shortly but needed to warn the masses of this atrocity.
