4 out of 5 eggsGreat graphics card

Pros: Handles Ultra/Highest settings on all of my games including Battlefield 4, Titanfall, Dead Rising 3, Assassin's Creed: Rogue, Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, all of which (except Rogue) are next Gen titles on consoles.

If the fan makes any noise, I can't hear it over my case fans and I couldn't hear those before I replaced my stock cooler.

Cons: This thing is enormous. It effectively divides my case in half and I'm a little worred about getting proper air flow.

Other Thoughts: Requires two 6-Pin power cables, check to make sure your PSU has two available or else you'll have to buy a new PSU too. Make sure your current PSU can handle the energy demands of your system too.

5 out of 5 eggsUnbeatable for the price

Pros: Fast and powerful. With 3 gb of vram this card is more than viable as a single gpu solution. Maxes all the games in my steam library with 50 - 60 fps in the most demanding of them. Plus with how well it overclocks I imagine it will continue to do so for quite some time. The price for performance makes this a must buy for people in the $150 range.

Cons: The fan can get loud. At speeds over 75% it can be heard noticeably through a headset. It also runs hot, more on that in Other Thoughts.

Other Thoughts: This card runs pretty hot at stock, but from what I understand this card is designed to be stable even at worrying temps. That being said its a little disconcerting to see it hit +75c at stock clocks under load. Even if the card is stable at those temps that much heat being generated was starting to raise the ambient temp in my case, and therefor the temps of my CPU and RAM.
Some tweaking to the auto fan profile in Afterburner fixed this, and allowed for some impressively easy overclocking. It doesn't break 70c under load at 900/1325 with the fan speed never exceeding 60% which I consider the noise threshold for it.

1 out of 5 eggsOnly lasted 4 days

Pros: Worked great for about 4 hours

Cons: Threw away the packaging and old card after this card originally worked, so Newegg wouldn't give an RMA. Sent it in through a third party for manufacturers RMA and have been told that it could take up to 4 weeks for a replacement.

Other Thoughts: 4 weeks for a replacement is unacceptable. Don't waste your time with this company, the cheaper price isn't worth the headache that it brings.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,
We are sorry for your situation and suggest you try to check following steps.
1. If possible verify the HIS graphics card on another working system or verify another working card on your motherboard. Need to ensure that the platform is no problem.
2. If you need further assistant, please feel free to contact our customer service department directly.

5 out of 5 eggsStill strong

Pros: Very strong for the price. Hasn't caused me any issues yet, plus it came with 2 free games. Stays relatively cool during max load despite having minimal cooling capability. Also has a nice 3gb of VRAM which is great for pumping up texture quality.

Cons: Only one fan for cooling over a big heat sink. Fan also does weird things like rev up loudly at random times when the computer goes to sleep mode.

Other Thoughts: Very powerful card for the price. Shame they aren't in production any more.

1 out of 5 eggsGreat while it lasted, horrible support from HIS

Pros: Great card while it lasted.

Cons: Fan died, horrible experience with HIS and Lexy Pacific (third party RMA service)
I really, really liked this card, but after about 9 months the fan stopped working.

To maintain operable temperatures I have an outside industrial strength fan pointing at it. Naturally I tried to setup an RMA to get a replacement fan or to get the card service.

After 2 months of patiently dealing with HIS digital over the net, I was told that they would send me a replacement fan. A few weeks go by without response, I ask on the status of my replacement fan. They tell me that I have to then setup an RMA through a seperate local company in CA, Lexy Pacific. It's 3 months now, and after following all the instructions from HIS and Lexy, I'm sitting at a page that tells me my warranty is expired/serial is not valid despite trying to start this RMA process THREE MONTHS AGO.

Great card when it worked, but I will never purchase a product from HIS ever again. I suppose I'll have to purchase an aftermarket HS/Fan now.

Other Thoughts: I will never give HIS money again. $300 lasted 9 months. Don't support this company.

5 out of 5 eggsStill going strong

Pros: No slowdown or rendering glitches on highest settings (SimCity 4, Caesar IV, Mass Effect 3, SimCity, Battlefield 3, Minecraft). Proving to be future-resistant, as I bought it a year ago and still outperforms newer cards.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: After having an 8800GTS fail on me within one year I was weary about purchasing a "big boy" graphics card. I have been using this card heavily with a 75/25 split between heavy gaming and 3D CAD and it has held up well.

5 out of 5 eggs Good Budget Card

Pros: Pretty cheap for the quality, comes with an easy-to-use OC'ing tool. I get 40-60 FPS on every game in my Steam library. Quiet, and a fully adjustable fan speed.

Cons: Heavy, wobbles, and the stand wont fit in my ATX case.e

1 out of 5 eggsNice While it Lasted

Pros: Good gaming performance; Excellent Temperatures; Price

Cons: The fan died three months after purchasing the product. Sent the card in for an RMA not through HIS, but through a third party contracted out on HIS' behalf. After spending so much money on a card, you expect it to work for a few years, not for a few months. Also, ran the card only on stock settings.

Other Thoughts: Again, overall a decent card for the price, while the fan still worked. I am lucky I was paying attention, or I likely would have burned out my card with no fan cooling the heatsink.
