2 out of 5 eggsNo Bueno

Pros: Install was a breeze. Nice performing graphics card for what my needs.

Cons: Video played well until i installed this graphics. Video flickers while streaming videos or switching between some webpages. Almost anything video will flicker at least once during play.

Other Thoughts: My previous graphics card was a HIS and it worked fine so I figured i'd continue with HIS. Guess i'll see what their customer support is worth.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,
We are sorry for your situation and suggest you try to check following steps.
1. If possible verify the HIS graphics card on another working system or verify another working card on your motherboard. Need to ensure that the platform is no problem.
2. If you need further assistant, please feel free to contact our customer service department directly.

Best Regards

5 out of 5 eggsResurrects 5 yr old computer

Pros: -Low profile
-Solid performance
-Slightly better than my FM1 Llano APU running stock at 3.0ghz

Cons: -Fan is a bit loud

I wanted the fanless edition but it wasn't in stock at Newegg, I don't think they sold very well. HIS also makes the "ice" or whatever, which I think has a quieter fan, but I couldn't justify spending the extra money. If you actually want this model for a HPTC or small box you're in luck - its a solid buy.

Other Thoughts: Sold my flawless Llano system to a friend and used the money to buy an In Win D Frame, as a result I had to resurrect an old Athlon dual core running at 2.7ghz. The only game I play is iRacing, and with this GPU and 4GB system ram I am able to completely max out graphics. Quite impressed, and the best VGA for $50, don't skimp and buy a $25 card you'll be disappointed.

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: relatively inexpensive and decent performance in terms of video and light gaming. Medium to low setting on modern games. Doesn't use a whole lot of power.

Cons: The minus of two eggs is because of the intended purpose of the card. The plan was to dual graphics it with an A6 apu but the resulting performance ranged from slight improvement (a couple of frames more), to no diff. at all and even a loss of fps in certain games. Actually the igpu on the A6 performs better then the card but is limited by its 512mb of vram that can't be increased.

Other Thoughts: If your intent is to dual graphic this card, simply don't bother. save up for a better gpu, a 7770 or higher. its decent enough that you can play most games at med. to low settings at 720p or lower. but you will not play battlefield or crisis even on low settings very well. Aside from that, It may not play em pretty but it will probably play them. Excellent replacement if all your looking for is a low end card light gaming expectations.

5 out of 5 eggsGrand improvement

Pros: A great little performer even were it more slightly more expensive let alone for this price. It's overall smaller than my last card, especially considering this card outperforms my (very old) 2 nVidia 8500 gt cards running in SLI. I'm seeing overall system improvement in little ways and gaming and video improvements in much larger, more noticeable ways.

Cons: Nothing to do with Newegg (hence the 5 egg rating remains), but I chose the super egg saver shipping method, which is FedEx. I've working in shipping before and I know better than to associate FedEx with quality service, but this is the 3rd order I've received from Newegg via FedEx where I've been sitting not 10 feet from the door and heard the delivery not by a knock but by the obvious sound of someone tossing or throwing the package onto my porch. This is extremely disturbing for some of my planned future purchases, considering many of them can be easily damaged by such a practice. While I wasn't always happy with the previous practice of needing a signature every time and not permitting the driver to leave the package before, I'd rather have my inconvenience and an intact purchase than have to worry about breakage because of an irresponsible contractor.

Other Thoughts: I honestly didn't know how much performance to expect with this product priced as low as it was. At first, it seemed like my purchase was a bust, too, since I was having a lot of problems getting this card to work properly on the Windows side of my system. I had never used AMD/ATI before, having always gone for a nVidia chipset. Well, rather that throw my hands up and send it back, just a quick search told me exactly what I suspected: Windows tends to have problems letting go of the old drivers, which can lead to issues with a different card.

To be fair, while this happens almost solely in Windows, it is *not* a windows fault, but rather it's a fault in the installer automatic removal. Even using a removal tool (like CCleaner in my case) didn't remove all the folders, data, drivers, and other leave-behinds. You have to manually remove any old nVidia graphics drivers and leftovers, then reboot, then install the new drivers and software, and reboot again. Once I did this, I had no more problems with the card. Do a search for the exact steps. This method works at least from Win XP and newer, and it's a relief because I thought I was going to have to do a clean install after reading some of the things online.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Huge upgrade over my Radeon HD 3800 series graphics card. I don't play too many of the top of the line demanding games so this card was perfect for my setup.

Cons: None thus far.

5 out of 5 eggsVideo Card for HTPC

Pros: Light weight, and compact, yet durable construction. No needed extra power from the PSU. Large open fan and heatsink. Three different connection types: VGA, DVI, & HDMI. Best price on a budget for a HTPC setup.

Cons: Could not get the HDMI connection to work with my 55" HDTV. It would display the BiOS and Windows 7 start screen, but then go blank. Uninstalled and reinstalled the AMD catalyst software from the AMD website to try the Eyefinity setup. It would not recognize the TV. No egg drop for this issue, as I am still in a "learning" curve.

Other Thoughts: I was able to get a dual monitor setup with a 27" flat screen TV through the VGA connection, and my 23" Acer monitor through the DVI connection. Crossfired with an A8-5600K APU on a ASRock FM2A75 Pro4-M FM2 motherboard with no problems.

5 out of 5 eggsYes! More Ram = Smoother Display!

Pros: Love this thing. Runs all my MMOs very smooth. got it for a custom Build, got 8GB of DDR3 1600, ASUS F2A55-M LK PLUS Motherboard, and the AMD A4-5300 Trinity CPU.

Now, had I know that little AMD A4-5300 Trinity GPU would score only a point under this card in the WEI, I might not have gotten it, However it does give me more cores for app acceleration, but I haven't tested that out yet. Need to do a compare and contrast with the card and the APU.

Cons: Can't over clock this thing as far as I thought.
Get some MAJOR artifacts past 600 [PSU limitations?]
I did only get a 250W-450peak PSU, and it runs it, but I'm thinking the PSU might be preventing me from overclocking properly.

Other Thoughts: If I just spent a little more on something better...
