  • newegg IceQ X² – Cooler, Quieter With IceQ X², the card is cooler and quieter than the reference cooler. The two 8mm and 3x 6mm wide heatpipes optimize cooling performance by removing heat from the core area, and the extra large 40 x 47.5mm copper heatsink provides a large area to dissipate heat efficiently. The super large two 89mm dual axial fans draws massive amount of cool air to cool the GPU directly. The Q&C fan blade increases air velocity making cooling more efficiently while keeping noise level at minimum. With a life span of up to 50,000 hours the fan delivers reliable, long lasting performance. The card also features fan control and monitoring, you are able to read fan speed and Asic temperature from iTurbo or other software. Memory and mosfet are equipped with heat sinks for extra heat dissipation. The card is below 28dB when watching movies, surfing Facebook, working. The card remains quiet whether you are gaming, socializing online, entertaining, or working.
  • newegg Long Lasting Design: Safer, Last Longer! The card has two bios, ensuring the card runs properly. You can always switch to the second Bios if the card does not run with the first Bios. HIS cards are engineered with the highest standard of safety, preventing them any potential damages. Solid State Choke stabilizes the card and Full Solid State Capacitors ensures the best power quality and enhances the card’s stability in critical gaming situations! PCB might easily be warped due to prolonged hanging on the motherboard and casing, potentially causing cracks on BGA solder joints and resulting in malfunctioning of the card. The HIS special metal rib provides extra strength to the PCBs to avoid warpage, making the cards extra stable and durable. You can count on HIS cards to game hard for 24/7/365 for years!

1 out of 5 eggsHorrible Warranty

Pros: Card worked well why it ran

Cons: Card sparked after 3 months of use and burnt the bottom. Never overclocked, never used the card in any way that would not be recommended. Apparently though when the card does this it is not covered by Warranty. It is completely ridiculous. I did nothing to cause the problem, the company could literally send anyone a defective card and and claim that it "burnt out" and not refund their money.

1 out of 5 eggsFailed after 5 minutes

Pros: run everything in ultra settings flawlessly for the 5 minutes that it last running.

Cons: after 5 minutes of playing it will crash you game.
not the system but the game and will freeze your computer unless you CTRL+ALT+Delete.
tried it with 2 different system and the same behavior on both not a reliable line of product, this is the second and last time that i have been burned by HIS

Other Thoughts: thanks still have my HD 7700
that is still working like a champ when this new lines of product keep failing.

5 out of 5 eggsHIS 280X w boost

Pros: Replace 2X HIS 6870 Xw OC with one HIS 280X ice etc. Does the job of two 6870 cards without the crossfire issues. The 290X is slightly faster and more $. This does the job with ease on the 70+ games I have on Steam. Well made with nice heatsink & fans. Very quiet without overheating. Doesn't' get over 36C at 38% fan. Comparable to GTX 770 with better picture quality. OC'd to 1030 GPU 1533 DDR5 with no problems.

Cons: It's big. I have full size large case. Be careful if your case is medium or less size. you may want to measure. It takes two 8 pin PCI connectors. I think you want at least 750 watt Power supply.

Other Thoughts: Supports the GCN arc with Mantle. Very fast and smooth. It even played old Bioshock game without to much trouble.
I would stay away from crossfire and get one really good card. Don't get me wrong Crossfire works but the picture quality and smoothness suffers compared to one good card.

5 out of 5 eggsPowerhouse of a card

Pros: Great card, affordable and performs wonderful. Has yet to even cringe at anything I've thrown at it. Runs 60+ fps on everything I've played thus far, with the exception of some high traffic areas in Guild Wars 2. Have yet to see her run over 52 degrees Celsius which is a big plus.

Cons: My card is black, but the color in the icon is gold. Not a huge deal, black matches my build better anyway, but it might bother some.

Other Thoughts: AMD Catalyst can be finicky at times, but that's not HIS's fault.

5 out of 5 eggsA BEAST

Pros: This card is a MONSTER for the money. Ran everything I threw at it on Ultra-high settings and everything was smooth as silk.

Cons: Only one I can really think of is the length of the card. This is a problem with MANY video cards so to the genius (sarcastic nickname) that gave this card a one-egg review: You got what you deserved by not visiting the manufacturers website and reading up on the card. You failed, not HIS. I got this thing to fit into a Rosewill CHALLENGER case - it was tight but it fit...

Other Thoughts: I would recommend this card all day long

5 out of 5 eggsPretty Sweet

Pros: Using the iTurbo overclock I was able to clock the cores to 1279 and the memory to 1800. I clocked it down to 1240 for better game stability but kept the mem clock. FYI I have a NZXT's Kraken G10 coupled to an H90 and using the built-in vram cooler, I never have temps over 58c. I thing on of the selling points would have to be the little black board cooler that you can see at the back-top of the board. It helps with rigidity and cooling, plus it stays out of the way of installing custom cooling.

Cons: Fan size is a bit small compared to MSI's Twin Frozer but I never heard them through my Fractal R4 case.
People are saying it's long but it's just a full sized card, it's third in AMD's line up under the R9 290 and 290x.

Other Thoughts: I've had it since April and it's been doing fine. It is pushing a feed down to my tv, as one of it's functions is a media center, and that hdmi cable is around 28 feet or so.

1 out of 5 eggsIt's huge.

Pros: i wouldn't know.

Cons: it's huge, over 12" long, it doesn't fit in my case.

Other Thoughts: they hide the note that says this item is non- refundable under the specifications page, so shortly after you find out it won't fit in your case, you'll find out you're out 300$ unless you buy a new case, or take a hack saw to your existing one.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card

Pros: Super Fast card, runs cool (didn't go over 70c using stock fans), looks great.

Cons: My only con is that there is some coil whine when the card is under full load, but I barely notice it.
