3 out of 5 eggsgood value

Pros: This was a good deal after rebate. fine for a basic system like the one I'm building. Can be useful for setting up a second or third monitor.

Cons: not for a modern gaming setup... not enough processing power or cooling.

5 out of 5 eggsgood card for price

Pros: Price, recognized by vista, inatalled easy. Many complained about large heat sink, not a big deal in a full size case.
No fan so is quiet, heat sink gets warm but not excessive again in a full size case with good cooling it is not an issue.

Cons: Not a card for state of the art gamers of course, however does fine for Home desktop. Works good enough for video editing and light gaming.

3 out of 5 eggsUhm...

Pros: When I bought this, I knew nothing about video cards, and I made a very stupid mistake. I bought it to upgrade my 5 year old gaming build. I'm sure this card is awesome for everything except gaming.

Cons: It wasn't the card I thought it was, haha.

Other Thoughts: I'll pay closer attention next time to what I'm doing. I only took away two stars because it was my stupid mistake.

3 out of 5 eggsWarm Up Period

Pros: Very low cost graphics board with the rebate. It has all display connections including the old VGA style.

Cons: Displays a horizontal band that scrolls down the page when the board is first on. After about an hour, it goes away. Tech support indicated that either the board is not getting enough power or it hasn't stabilized. Since it goes away, my assumption is that it's a heat problem. Changing the refresh rate gets around the issue, but adds flicker.

2 out of 5 eggstakes 3 slots

Pros: Great price ($9.99 after rebate). Seems to work well over all (although s-video to composite only give monochrome). No fan so it is quiet (but at a big cost; see "Cons:")

Cons: On both sides the heatsink is so large that it prevents cards being inserted in the adjacent slots: on my system it took the PCIe x16 and blocked my 2 other PCIe x1 slots!

Other Thoughts: To free a PCIe x1 slot I cut off the back half of the heatsink but then it needed a fan :-(

5 out of 5 eggsWorks

Pros: Price (only 15 squid after rebate), has a DVI output

Cons: Heatsink is kind of massive and extends into the next slot

Other Thoughts: Used this for an office PC to provide a digital connection to the flat screen as this normally gives better and crispier resolution. Not a game winner, but everything you need for your everyday applications. Gives a 3.7 on the Vista Scale.

5 out of 5 eggsSolid card

Pros: I don't play the newest games, so this card does everything I want. The performance/price ratio is great.

Cons: Let's not kid ourselves, it's not a graphics powerhouse.

2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: It came right on time.

Cons: It didn't fit in my computer.

Other Thoughts: Make sure that your computer has a PCI Express x16 slot before you buy it.

3 out of 5 eggsWide load

Pros: It's cheap! Nice output on the s-video port. I bought this for a MytTV box, and the picture is pretty sharp for an analog output.

Cons: The card takes up 3 slots. The heatsink is so wide that it blocks the PCIe x4 slots on both sides of the x16 slot on my motherboard.

4 out of 5 eggsWell done

Pros: I bought this card to enable dual monitor support which it did immediately after it was configured with minimum muss and fuss. I had no problems configuring the included driver software or connecting my screens to it. Note, I already owned the required VGA-DVI adapter needed for the second connection. The box indicates that a "supplementary connector is required. " This is false for this card which derives its power solely from the card slot.

Cons: I installed this card into a HP Pavilion slimiline. To accomplish this, I had to temporarily remove the card's heat sink and trim about one inch from one side to clear the DVD drive inside the PC. After thoroughly cleaning all metal shavings from the heat sink, this was easily reinstalled on the card. I also had to cut away a little bit of the PC's cover which interfered with the rear connector. I did this and used electrical tape to insure that the cut out section would not cut any wires. Both of these operations were simple and required no precision. There is very little asethetic difference after the change. It has been running for over a week and the smaller effective heat sink has not caused any problems.

Other Thoughts: For the after-rebate cost, I am very happy.
