4 out of 5 eggs9800GTX+?

Pros: *I loved the way it looks
*Fast
*Keeps cool
*Runs games pretty good
*Quite fan unless playing a game

Cons: I have tried this graphics card with Windows Vista X64/Windows Vista X32/ Windows 7 X64 and it still does not understand that it is not a 9800GTX+.
My screen resolution/display kept on getting messed up every time I started up my computer and the apply settings just didn't apply when ever i changed it. Everyone knows that its either the drivers or the graphics card that don't go together so they would have to fix that for me to ever buy Galaxy again.

1 out of 5 eggsgalaxy tech support non existant

Pros: If the cards work and you don't need tech support
your good

Cons: If you need tech support might as well throw the gpu in the trash. Don't waste your time.
Buy quality NOT galaxy

Other Thoughts: galaxy = waste of money
galaxy tech = waste of time

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Card

Pros: Even if it is just a rebadged 9800GT it works great for me. Plays back Bluray files flawlessly on my 46" LCD via HDMI. I've only played CODWAW on it so far and it runs on high setting just fine. I personally cant see anything wrong with this card. Took a chance with this card and it payed off.

Cons: The instructions for connecting the HDMI audio adapter to the spdif header are ridiculously vague. Making what should be a piece of cake a PITA. There was a 50/50 chance of getting it wrong and I didn't want to ruin the the card or my mobo. Fortunately I got it right. The connector to the top of the card is the gound.

Other Thoughts: I was lucky enough to snag it on the discount plus the $40 rebate. Making it an excellent card for the price. if I were looking at card in the full price range I more than likely would never have gotten this card. Stock fan speed is about 20% and the fan idles about 60C. I've checked it playing COD and it doesn't seem to get hotter then 70C. I'm very pleased with this card.

5 out of 5 eggs2nd is acceptable

Pros: Shorter then other similar cards!

Cheap with hidden rebate!

Runs most games maxed!

Looks pretty nice!

Cons: 1st was a DOA, RMA via newegg and still made rebate deadline.

Not the same as pictured, back plate only has 1 mounting spot (the part with fan doesnt have a spot) so i popped that back plate out anyways, needs it to throw some of the heat out!. (now need to add an intake fan, its causing neg pressure pulling lots of dust everywhere else)

Phew, runs hot. ideals about 50C with stock fans speed, up to 109 with hottest game call of juarez maxed out (runs nice tho)
I set fan to 70-100% via their software (slightly buggy) runs 46 stock and Juarez in low 80s, good enough.

No dvi-vga included when I needed one!

Other Thoughts: I wrote a nice review, hit side button on mouse and sent me back, lost it all. Gotta reprogram that mouse soon.

RMA via newegg and still made rebate deadline. Sweet.

OCing voids warranty, boo. Only 2 years too, and I dont know about the quality seeing as 1st was a dud. Hope increasing fan speed doesnt void warranty (need to find that out) = no need for second 6 pin

GPUZ ids this as 65nm, my first was 55nm DOA. Oh well.

Trying to determine a 4 or 5 star, runs nice but isnt same as pictured, and runs real hot! But real cheap (60AR) so great for price. 5 it is!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat!

Pros: *Rebranded version of the improved version of the upgraded version of Nvidia's former flagship
*Runs everything I want maxed out (except Crysis... screw that game)
*Lower power consumption than a 9800gtx+ (might not matter for most, but I have a 450w "excellent quality" PSU, and every watt mattered. This runs just fine in my rig.)
*AMAZING customer service
*Shorter than most cards made these days
*Incredibly cheap (with rebate)
*Looks snazzy

Cons: *Can be a little hot. SET FAN TEMPS PROPERLY. Once they are set though, nothing out of the ordinary (runs about as cool as my friends gts250 made by an "Enemy Video Gpu Assembler").

Other Thoughts: I had some issues with wires that came with the card, and Galaxy was very helpful in sorting it out. They also sent me an email reminding me to fill out my rebate. That's like them saying, "Hey, don't forget to take money from us." I appreciate such things.

Which is why after buying from Newegg for 5+ years and having never posted a review before (too lazy usually) I posted one for this product. All the negative reviews for what I feel is a great card from the best company I've ever bought from spurred me into action. It is downright stupid to give 1-star reviews if you got a DOA card and had to RMA. People need to chill. Like, $hizz happens man.

4 out of 5 eggsgreat so far

Pros: Replaced a BFG 8800GT. Same length as the BFG so it fit fine. Runs a lot cooler, idles at 45C at 25% fan, runs 65C when playing Mass Effect (uninstalled Crysis) 1920x1080 full graphics at 50% fan.

Everyone knows it's re-badged 9800GTX+ but it says its a GTS 250 everywhere in my computer for bragging rights.

HDMI slot is cool and I will use it eventually. The Extreme Cooler program is handy. It pretty much can handle anything I play right now. Oh, and it looks cool!

Cons: The directions are laughable. On boot the fan was set at 0% so it was idling 75C until I made the default fan 25% in the nvidia control panel.

Other Thoughts: "now with 2 year warranty" sticker on the box, hopefully I won't have to use it, but it seems a good card so I may stick with Galaxy.

1 out of 5 eggsDOA

Pros: Looks nice.
Smaller then other cards.

Cons: Windows downloads 9800gtx+ drivers (reviews say nvidia rebadged card as a gts250)
Dead (altho operated, couldn't display any video out of it) Mobo would not recognize the card at all. Tested in 2 completely different pcs, and plugged a friends 9800gtx+ (ironically) into mine which booted and recognized automatically.

Other Thoughts: I didnt know it was dead, my first real gaming card. Plugged it in, nothing. I seriously tried everything imaginable. Pulled it out and in or my PCIe slot at least 20 times, plus having to reboot my system at least 100 times, really feel like this thing sucks.

I also thought it was driver problems (like the review a few down) but know for sure its a dud.

3 out of 5 eggsHad to RMA

Pros: Works great when you get a working one.

Cons: Runs hot after prolong periods.

Other Thoughts: 1st card was throttling at 105 c, kept artifacting and eventually stopped booting. Always had errors while folding. I've only owned this card for 2 weeks.

Finally got a 2nd card and now it tops out at 96 c after 20 minutes of furmark @ 1440 x 900, 16x AA, and post processing. Still a bit hot but it's not at throttling temps anymore. Folds properly as well. Lets see how long this lasts.
