1 out of 5 eggsNEVER Buy From Galaxy

Pros: None.....

Cons: I bought this kit back in November 2010 and they worked for a few months at very high temps. Suddenly the fan bent and made a horrible ticking noise... it was hitting the other card, after the other card became damaged i sent them both back to be RMA'ed. Got them back not a month ago and the same problem has occurred, i want my 375 back.

Other Thoughts: Please dont waste money on Galaxy brand.

5 out of 5 eggsgood card

Pros: For the price, you cannot go wrong.

Cons: its hot foo....

Other Thoughts: People who don't know anything about the GTX 460 need to look some where else. Here is how you can use some common sense to your benefit.
1. if your gtx 460 runs hot..you either have the fan on auto or your case ventilation is horrible (buy a better case)...or try to lower your ambient temps.
2. You need 850Watt PSU?!!!!......are you nuts. I have 2 of these cards running @ 1087mv 800/1600/4000, with an overclocked i7 930 @4.0ghz, 2x600gb velociraptor, 8x scythe gentle typhoon (5200rpm fans), 2x swiftech d5 pumps, 1dvd, 1ssd. This is all running on a corsair 750hx supply. Get clean/good power supply.
3. if you are having issues with SLI, this is probably due to the fact that the drivers you are using are old, or you did not do a proper driver cleanup.
4. FERMI runs hot!!!..thats a fact, there are a gazillion websites that tell you the same thing if you looked around.

3 out of 5 eggsBad Support and False Advertising

Pros: Let me start off by saying I do not own this card/set, but I was very interested in purchasing it. I contacted Galaxy to get more information about this product and also did research about them and their products/service. Hopefully this info will help others out who are looking at this particular item or other Galaxy items.

The price with rebate that is being offered for two GTX 460 1GB cards is insane. You're basically getting a second card for half price.

Claims to have HDMI v1.4a when the other manufacturers I looked at only have v1.4. More about that later.

Galaxy claims to have 24/7 phone and e-mail support. The only phone number on their website to contact them is a single tech support number. More about that later.

I rated this set as 3/5 eggs since I do not own it. My rating is based on the individual/professional reviews I read about Galaxy products/service and my own experience with Galaxy support and the misinformation they provided.

Cons: The first time I called Galaxy was in the evening. I spent over 30 minutes on hold. I finally hung up. Later that evening I tried to call again. After 45 minutes someone picked up the phone then hung it right up. I tried calling the next morning, and someone answered after 15 minutes. The tech did not seem very smart. I asked if he could confirm if this card had HDMI v1.4a or v1.4. He said whatever it says on the website is what it is. He refused to confirm beyond that. I also asked him about the included SLI bridge that people have been saying they didn't get. He said the SLI bridge is not included even though it is advertised as having one in the box. He said they use software SLI because it is superior to hardware SLI bridging, and that adding a bridge is redundant since they sit in a shared PCI-E channel on the MB. I asked about their included OCing software. He said it's good and included, but if you OC you void your warranty.

Other Thoughts: I was very excited when I saw the pricing on this SLI kit. I was ready to make the purchase until I did some research on Galaxy and contacted them. I found some interesting professional reviews that laughed at Galaxy for advertising their OC software and their removable fans (on certain models), then saying if you OC or remove our removable fans you void your warranty.

I found a common pattern of people complaining about their tech support and difficulty of getting through or getting returned calls/e-mails.

I still can't figure out how Galaxy seems to have the only GTX 460 with HDMI v1.4a when the bigger companies I looked at only have v1.4. It could be legit, or it could be incorrect specs.

Galaxy admits to falsely advertising that there is an included SLI bridge when there is not. And the research I have done says you want to hardware SLI, not software SLI.

For the price I really wanted this set, but with these upfront Galaxy issues I decided to purchase EVGA again.

2 out of 5 eggsso far so fair

Pros: see above Baked Buns

Cons: It seems that these cards along with several other vendors need a registry edit for the proper application of their drivers and for the 400 series nvidia chipsets in windows XP and windows 7 . I have left a message on the Galaxy 24/7 phone number and we will see what happens .

Other Thoughts: The WIN 7 OS hangs when booting up about 2 to 3 minutes with out the registry edit and sometimes will not boot at all without removing one of the cards disabling SLI

4 out of 5 eggsSo far so good

Pros: Good packaging
short card length fits in case easily
quiet running
good price
runs as fast in sli as a 480 gtx at 200 bucks less

Cons: Needed to re install chipset drivers after uninstalling my previous
video card drivers.
You need 2 PCIE 6 pin power cables per card
the free Starcraft digital download is only 7 hours
for a 2 hour download.

Other Thoughts: Make sure your power supply can handle the requirements
of these cards. Recommend no less than 850.
Good choice if you have a midtower case and your HDD
butts up against your videocards. These are 8.5 in long
even shorter than my previous 9800 gtx+
