5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Reference Design
Good Price/Performance
Galaxy (may be lesser known, but very good reputation)

Cons: Relatively high power draw
Does NOT come with power adapters. Not normally an issue but check you PSU first. Requires 2 6 pins.

Other Thoughts: I run GPUGrid on this 570 so it is at 100% load 24/7 and looks to be holding up well. Temperature under load is acceptable at stock fan settings and it stays quiet enough not to be heard inside of the case.

If you need Cuda like me, this is the best price/performance until kepler.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Giving it a 5 egg for now. Decided on this card after also considering a HD6970. I presume performance to be similar when playing mainly BFBC2. Card works great 99% of the time. The other 1% I'm not sure of the problem. See cons

Cons: 1. At over 80% fan speed is a tad noisy. Usually this speed isn't necessary in my (well ventilated) case. Ambient temps have been high however.
2. That 1% I mentioned. I get occasional black banding flashing commensurate with frame rate. Usually in "high activity" periods. Could be a heat issue, not sure.

Other Thoughts: OK - I'll admit it. I took the lowest price I could find on a card with this GPU. I may not be having that above-mentioned problem if I spent $10 more. But then again, I might.

1 out of 5 eggsBuyer Beware

Pros: It was cheap. (read cons)

Cons: Poorly constructed video card. They used the old trick of covering all the components with plastic to hide what I suspect to be subpar componentry.

The Video card arrived with the rest of my new system.
Upon my first boot I heard a wretched screetching noise.
It was the GPU's fan rubbing against its own housing.
No simple long term fix.

Upon further inspection I see the warranty stickers are already broken, which means this had been preciously serviced, but appearantly not tested. (Refurb sold as new?)

I called Tech support, to ask them about the problem and their practices. The agent was highly deflective and unwilling to discuss any solutions. I asked to return it and I was flat out denied.

I was willing to give "Galaxy" a try, as I recall Asus was once a new brand, and they turned out alright. This bit me in the bottom, now I have a new gaming rig with no GPU.

After receiving this inferior product and receiving inferior tech support I will never buy this br

Other Thoughts: Don't let this happen to you, spend the extra $20 and get a more established brand.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesooooooome

Pros: This card can handle anything currently available thrown at it in 1920x1080 at stock speeds. Mine idles at around 40 and goes up to ~60-70 at load in 3Dmark 11 with ambient at 23C.

Cons: Reference cooler :(

Other Thoughts: I was contemplating a 6950, but when I saw this for under $300 with MIR, I had to jump on it. No regrets (so far)!

5 out of 5 eggsCorrect Rebate Link

Pros: I have not received the card yet so I can't comment on performance. I did have a comment that may help people apply for the rebate though, it's in the "Cons" section.

Cons: The rebate form lists rebate offer SIC-6197, this does not exist. The correct rebate offer code appears to be SIC-6214.

Took me a bit of searching to find it, hope that helps some people.

Other Thoughts: I gave it 5 eggs because the rating should not go down for slight administrative oversight. Everyone makes mistakes.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Product

Pros: This card was installed into a Dell Precision 690 Workstation, running 2 - Dual Core Xeon 3.0 processors, 16GB memory, 15,000 RPM SAS drive 160GB, 1-2TB 7200 RPM Storage Drive. This machine just rocks with this card. Previously I purchased the GTX 460 for another 690. But the 570 just opens up the flood gates and lets this machine scream!!

Cons: It does not come with the 6 Pin Power pigtails, you must have 2 6 pin rails coming from your Power Supply. I didnt have but happen to have some that came with another card, so that saved me.

Otherwise no complaints

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card

Pros: Extremely fast compared to my last card (GTS 250). Runs cooler and quieter than the GTX 470 I had bought and returned. About 20 degrees Celsius lower.

Cons: It is very long, but this is expected for the newer cards. Make sure you have enough room in your case for it.

Other Thoughts: All around awesome. Kudos to Galaxy for making a great product. I like that it included the longer mini HDMI to HDMI unlike some other cards.

5 out of 5 eggsFast

Pros: It's pretty fast and the cooling is good, quite too.

Cons: It's length and how long they've had to work the bugs out of the drivers.

Other Thoughts: Other then a few driver issues with some old games I haven't had any problems. I imagine when it's been out for more then couple months it'll be fine.

5 out of 5 eggsAnother weiner from Nvidia!

Pros: Awesome performance-to-cost ratio! Fan controls temps VERY well. In my rig, fan is not audible even when set to 65%! Game coupons and a rebate - weeeeee! Running card at 850/1000 with volts set only to 1.0v!

Cons: Amazingly, no power-converter cables included! No fancy box or fancy graphics on card!

Other Thoughts: Just prior to this I snagged an HD 5870 at a very good price but its fan was WAAAAY too loud and its VGA converted output was incompatible with my VGA KVM (severe jitters). My friend said "just get an Nvidia card and be happy." He was right. Whenever I get an Nvidia card, everything is pure bliss. When I try ATI cards, there are always issues, disapointments and compromises.

I highly recommend this card! With the fan set to "auto", I didn't even hear it when running Unigine benchmarks and FurMark. Fan peaked at 67% while temps peaked at 87C. With fan forced to 75%, FurMark temps peaked at 70C (amazing!). In other words, the fan is very effective and you should easily be able to find your sweet spot between temps and fan noise. Even at 75%, the fan made "white noise" - not the howling blowdryer noise of, for example, an ATI HD 5870.
