Built from the same DNA as its bigger brothers, GTX 680, the GeForce GTX 670 brings the performance and features of 28nm Kepler architecture to a more affordable price point. The GTX 670 comes with 1344 CUDA cores and a base clock of 915 MHz, slightly lower than the GTX 680, but is essentially identical in all other aspects. The Galaxy GeForce GTX 670 GC version graphics card is factory overclocked at 1006MHz and equipped with super-efficient dual fan cooler for more amazing and stable performance. And the breakthrough NVIDIA GPU Boost technology pushes the performance to the limit by intelligently increasing clock speed based on actual work load. An array of NVIDIA exclusive technology, such as NVIDIA Adaptive Vertical Sync for stuttering- and tearing-free gaming, NVIDIA Surround with up to four monitors, two new Anti-aliasing modes of FXAA and TXAA, NVIDIA 3D Vision Ready, and NVIDIA PhysX Technology works in concert to ensure you get the most immersive and impressive gaming experience.

Galaxy has once again taken every opportunity to enhance performance in the specially engineered redesign of the GTX 670 GC, which features the same high-end custom PCB and dual-fan cooler found in the Galaxy GTX 680 GC. The latest advances in PCB design make possible a factory overclock, and the high efficiency cooler keeps the card running at low temps with whisper-quiet operation.

  • newegg Kepler GPU Architecture NVIDIA's Kepler GPU architecture has been designed from the ground up not just for maximum performance in the latest DirectX 11 games, but optimal performance per watt. The new SMX streaming multiprocessor is twice as efficient as the prior generation and the new geometry engine draws triangles twice as fast. The result is world class performance and the highest image quality in an elegant and power efficient graphics card.
  • newegg NVIDIA GPU Boost Up until now, GPUs have operated at a fixed clock speed when playing 3D games, even if they have the potential to run faster. GPU Boost intelligently monitors graphics work load and increases the clock speed whenever possible. The result is that the GPU always performs at its peak and you get the highest framerate possible.
  • newegg NVIDIA Adaptive Vertical Sync Nothing is more distracting than framerate stuttering and screen tearing. The first tends to occur when framerates are low, the second when framerates are high. Adaptive V-Sync is a smarter way to render frames. At high framerates, V-sync is enabled to eliminate tearing, at low frame rates, it's disabled to minimize stuttering. It gets rid of distractions so you can get on with gaming.
  • newegg NVIDIA Surround with Up To Four Monitors Nothing is as breathtaking as playing your favorite games across three monitors. At 5760 x 1080, the expanded field of view fully engages human peripheral vision and provides for the most immersive experience in racing and flight simulators. Add in a fourth display to keep tabs on chat, email or web while you are gaming.
  • newegg Two New Anti-aliasing Modes: FXAA and TXAA Anti-aliasing smoothes out jagged edges but can be demanding on framerates. FXAA is a new antialiasing technology that produces beautiful smooth lines with minimal performance impact. And with Kepler based GPUs, you'll be able to enable FXAA in hundreds of game titles through the NVIDIA Control Panel. The second mode, TXAA, is an in-game option that combines MSAA, temporal filtering, and post processing for even higher visual fidelity.
  • newegg NVIDIA 3D Vision Ready NVIDIA 3D Vision brings a fully immersive, stereoscopic 3D experience to the PC. A combination of high-tech wireless glasses and advanced software, 3D Vision transforms hundreds of PC games into full stereoscopic 3D. Get up to 2x monitor and keyboard brightness with NVIDIA 3D LightBoost technology. In addition, you can enjoy 3D movies and 3D digital photographs in eye popping, crystal-clear quality.

5 out of 5 eggsstill the best vid card for the buck

Pros: stable and sweet over time. takes all games easily, much better choice than sli in its class. I traded 2 560 gtx 2 gig products in for this card and the stability and heat issues are gone. the card is not too long and fits in my case. also quieter and less power consumption

Cons: galaxy is not respected as a top vendor but times are a changing I would like a 512 buffer though

5 out of 5 eggsYes please.

Pros: Oh yes I love it. It was worth every penny.

Cons: The only downside is that the Titan class comes out this month. The 700 series that is.
And I imagine the price will drop at that point, to make room for the new tier of GPU's.
The equivalent of this one in the 700 series appears to have 1gb more ram, and roughly 1000 more CUDA cores.

So if you can wait, I'd recommend you do so, and save for that new 700 class of GDDR5 gpu. To be honest though, this card is more than I am even going to be able to use, and I'm glad I bought it, despite the aforementioned.

5 out of 5 eggsJust FYI!

Pros: I have not yet received the card but I will rewrite this review when I do. I am writing this to warn others buying the card right now.

DO NOT SHIP WITH FED-EX!

Fed ex will hand off your package to the Us Postal Service and add an additional 2-3 days to your shipping. The package will have taken over a week to be delivered by the time I receive it. A total rip off and extremely frustrating.

Cons: Fed Ex Shipping is a joke.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Card!

Pros: Easy to install and setup

Cons: I wish I bought 2

Other Thoughts: Upgraded from a 470GTX. Big improvements. Setting up surround with 3 24" monitors was easy. I love this card. Saving up to buy another one

4 out of 5 eggsCoil Whine

Pros: This card is great, hands down. Big step up from my HD 5870.

Cons: I've been noticing a lot of loud humming and ticking, or "coil whine" lately while playing games. This is concerning considering I've only had the card a little over a week.

Other Thoughts: I was hoping to get some kind of feedback from someone at Galaxy through writing this review, as well as making a point of giving my feedback. 2 birds with 1 stone. At any rate, if a representative doesn't contact me through this post, I'll go to their support system itself.

2 out of 5 eggsdissapointed with q.c.

Pros: Reviews are great and I know this to be a great card.

Cons: I ordered 2 gtx670's (From a retailer other than newegg. sry newegg, I saved $20 each) and received them in a timely manner. After installation with a gtx560ti as dedicated physics gpu, I noticed the graphics began to get choppy after 10 minutes or so of playing. Temps were mad hot..102c on the top card, 96c on the bottom card. I saw the front fans (both cards)were not moving so I removed the cards and found one blade on both card fans sticking up and out further than the other blades and were binding against the card below it. the serial numbers were within 3 numbers, so I am sure it is just a defect missed by q.c. Irritating none the less. If you are going to be using just one then no prob. If you are going to be doing sli, then check your fans to make sure the blade doesn't stick out. I know this is a great card, just disappointed that I got 2 defective ones.

4 out of 5 eggsGood card, 4GB is worth it

Pros: I got one of these in sept and another a month or so later in SLI. If you want to play skyrim with mods, maxed out crysis 3 and be ready for the next year or two of games that will have more high res textures, there's no need to look at a 2gb card, even at 1080p.
If you want to play maxed out far cry 3 and cysis 3 (well, pretty much maxed) at a smooth 60 fps, you'll need two of these. One is still very good though. When you get up into the high AA, it's much more demanding. I think that 2 of these at 1080p will carry you at max or nearest to max as to not mattter at 60fps for at least a couple years.
Use EVGA to overclock and monitor, or afterburner. Don't even bother with the galaxy utility.

Cons: The first card is slower than the second. It still meets the specs that it shipped with, but the second far exceeds it and has even more overclocking room. I have to clock my first 50mhz higher just to match the stock speed of the second card. I just wish they were both like that.
Can't complain too much though, as I said it meets the advertised OC speed and even goes beyond that a little.

Other Thoughts: All the 4gb 670 cards seem to be sold out. I think that's a testament to the value of the 670 and the need for 4gb cards given the new and projected games that will be coming out. You need to at least meet the new consoles half way.

5 out of 5 eggsDon't need SLI

Pros: Plays Diablo3, Farcry 3, Crysis 3, Borderlands 2 all @ highest effects/anti-aliasing/filtering settings with the card staying below 60 deg.C (single 1080P monitor used). I built a system that could accommodate a 2nd one of these in SLI, but might not need to for a few years; a single card should suffice unless you play the most graphic-intense games across 3 HD monitors @ max settings and high framerates. The 4GB of onboard RAM is probably worth the extra price paid.

Cons: None that I can think of.

Other Thoughts: Wish I had 3 displays to see how well the card performs in surround-mode.
Intel SandyBridge 2700k @4.7GHz, Noctua NH-D14, ASUS P8Z68-V PRO/GEN3, GSkill Ripjaws 8Gb, Coolermaster HAF922, SeaSonic X850, Samsung 840 PRO 128GB SSD

5 out of 5 eggsGTX 670 4GB

Pros: Excellent video card. Works will all games and cad programs with ease. All high resolution games like DDO...etc all play in the highest video modes with ALL features enabled. Fluid graphics like never before experienced. Play your game or CAD program like they were designed to be used. Well worth every penny I paid.

Cons: Lousy rebate company. Wonder if they will ever send the rebate out. 3 month wait time? even after they approved the rebate within 1 week.

5 out of 5 eggsPurely Amazing

Pros: Literally 3x as powerful and fast as my GTX 275 that I upgraded from. This card surprised me at how cool and quietly it runs. I can baaaaaaarely hear it!! It runs so cool, that I put my hand up to the back of my PC and I didn't feel any heat! It's constructed extremely solid and it's just an all around awesome GPU.

Comes with Borderlands2 AND Assasssin's Creed III!!!

Cons: ...

Other Thoughts: I feel that the GTX 670 is the right balance between extreme performance and value.
