Combining great value and performance, the Galaxy GTX 660 GC 2GB offers mainstream PC gamers access to the latest advances in GPU technology and unheard of levels of graphics power without breaking the bank. It's based on the NVIDIA's latest 28nm architecture and features 1072MHz Boost Clock - higher than the reference frequency of 1033MHz, delivering more graphics power for smoother, more responsive gameplay. The improved power handling and ultra-efficient cooling of Galaxy’s custom design deliver enhanced overclock potential and energy efficiency.
Similar to the Ti version, the foundation of the GTX 660 GC is a Galaxy custom PCB with significant design improvements, including an improved layout for more efficient signal path, high quality shielded inductors to maintain cleaner signal and eliminate coil whine, and thru-board ventilation to help keep power regulating components cool. The Galaxy Force Air bracket has been included as well to further facilitate the removal of heat from the system.
Premium CoolingAs is the tradition with Galaxy GC Edition graphics cards, the GTX 660 GC is equipped with a unique custom cooling solution. The cooler is designed with a highly effective dual fan system with aerodynamically and acoustically optimized blades that keep fan noise to an absolute minimum even at high speeds. Beneath the fans, a high surface area aluminum heat sink with triple heat pipes maintains very cool GPU temps even under extended run times with heavy workload.
NVIDIA GPU BoostUp until now, GPUs have operated at a fixed clock speed when playing 3D games, even if they have the potential to run faster. GPU Boost intelligently monitors graphics work load and increases the clock speed whenever possible. The result is that the GPU always performs at its peak and you get the highest framerate possible.
