5 out of 5 eggsLet there be pixels

Pros: I bought this to breathe life into an older Pentium 4 PC and upgrade it as far as it would go. It was a great deal for the price.

Easy to install and configure. Made the computer a lot smoother visually, given the age of the components.

Cons: The drivers that come with it are outdated, and nVidia isn't updating their drivers much beyond that anymore.

It's been discontinued from Newegg.

Other Thoughts: It's no 2GB GDDR5 PCI-E uber graphics card, but it got the job done for a computer that was originally assembled in 2003.

The card has been in the computer and running for over two years now without a single problem.

5 out of 5 eggsworks and more reliable than other nvidia cards

Pros: VGA:
reliable (have not burnt out yet despite not having a fan, had 2 other cards with fan burn out on me)
1920 × 1080 compatible no stuttering at high resolution (but runs kinda hot)

Cons: S-vid 4pin:
max resolution is 1050 but video is curved at edges with no software options to correct for this
no way to adjust margins independently can only move picture in 4 directions or shrink/enlarge

Other Thoughts: quality product

5 out of 5 eggsBack to Basics

Pros: I went from 128mb to 256mb on and outdated board and processor. It provided stability and is sufficient for basic desktop tasks and movies.

Cons: 256mb of video ram is not much but either is the PC board I put it into.

Other Thoughts: This made my old technology functional again.

4 out of 5 eggsworks fine

Pros: An easy and in expensive replacement for a failed AGP graphics card. Worked with the existing graphics card drivers, no need to load included drivers.

Cons: made in china

Other Thoughts: This card had given my 8yr old Dell Dimension 4600 desktop some additional life. The PSU went out and must have taken the original 5200 graphics card with it. OS would not load with failed card in place. I bought this inexpensive card hoping that the failure was in the card and not the AGP slot or motherboard. It fixed the issue and I am happy.

5 out of 5 eggsA nice product

Pros: Does exactly what is advertised, was easy to install, well packaged. I was originaly suprised to see this old graphics card still on sale and it was perfect to boost up an 5 year old desktop runnig on 64mb integrated. The jump to 256 is noticable and it helps alot when it come to productivity and overall system stability.

Cons: NOTE: It is easier to install the nVdia drivers than the ones on the CD than come with the product. Also, it runs a tad hot but for a fanless GPU, the heat is not to the point of worring

Other Thoughts: Nice product, a great improvement for older PC to keep these workhorse for a few more years

5 out of 5 eggsworks

Pros: It does what is says it will...which isn't much. Great upgrade to an old machine.

Cons: It can't handle any real gaming...but then again, why would you game on an old machine.

Other Thoughts: I added this to my old Dell Optiplex 270 and I plan on upgrading to Windows 7. It should work, as I passed all the pre-reqs...but we'll see.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Old Video Card

Pros: This chipset has been around since April 2003. It's great for old P4's that are using 8-64mb of onboard shared video. Works great with XP and Ubuntu on my vintage P4 on which I disabled the onboard video.

Cons: None. I have installed at least 5 of these in older D*ll's in customer's computers and I have never had a problem. Check for the latest drivers on the NVIDIA site. I have found newer ones than what was on the CD.

Other Thoughts: As I read other reviews, all I can say is that if you are trying to run this with Win7 or even Vista, for heaven sakes, you need a new computer. This is a business graphics card and nothing more. As I said above, this chipset has been since 2003 since a fresh XP installation will detect and install old, slow MS drivers for this card.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card!

Pros: I installed Windows 7 on a computer for someone. After hours of searching and trying different things to get their graphics working properly, I opted for this card instead. It works with Windows 7 perfectly fine and the customer was happy with the huge increase in resolution.

Cons: None, really. Then again, I'm not stress testing it.

Other Thoughts: This card is in a 10 year old desktop I installed more memory in and it runs Windows 7 fine. I was shocked the old computer ran it so well.
