1 out of 5 eggsReplacemt for dead GTX470

Pros: Worked good for about 2 months.

Cons: This was a remanufactured replacement for a dead GTX470. The GTX580 states it only has a 90 day warranty so I guess I lost the other year and half still left on the GTX470 warranty. The GTX580 has developed problems after 2 months and I had to disable it today. The GTX580 came with on manual, no driver or any thing else.
Needless to say I am not to please with the Sparkle cards. They die to soon.

Other Thoughts: If you buy a card with a 3 year warranty then any replacement should continue to carry the time left on original card.
They have no cross shipment so you are out of service until you receive a replacement.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing Card

Pros: Card performs well. It eats any games i throw at it.
And yes, it runs very cool.
Runs as advertised. I haven't OC'd it yet, but i will in the near future.

Cons: None really. It would of been nice to have an hdmi output instead of a mini hdmi output. And even with that mini port, my case got in the way for plugging anything in there.

Other Thoughts: The packaging for the card was even impressing.

Also. Make sure you have the room. The card takes up two pci slots, and in addition the fans extend taking up another slot. It might be a pain to SLI the card.

5 out of 5 eggsFast & stable

Pros: Stable and cool-running with liquid cooling. Easy to remove the fan. Super easy to overclock.
Running stable for several months at:
Core: 935 MHz
Memory: 4200 MHz
Shader: 1870 MHz
1125 mV

Cons: Some flakiness about detecting my monitors (both fairly new: Dell U3011, and a 23" LG), but finally got it sorted. Never really figured it out, just kept trying dvi cable/plug combinations for the two monitors.

Other Thoughts: I bought two at a brick & mortar store because I had an itch to scratch, didn't feel like waiting for newegg. Also bought two DangerDen blocks (DD-GTX580, copper base). I normally hate buying card and block separately, as I've been burned before, but this was a piece of cake.

Max temps in my 80F office are 55-56C in BFBC2.

4 out of 5 eggsyeahh

Pros: The Cooler is the main feature . the card does run cool . It didnt explode out of the box or catch fire. It plays battlefield, blackops, crysis1 &2

Cons: I didnt get movie ticket the rebate is a joke nothing new there, the biggest con is for this price point the build quality of the product is not there the pcb is wavy the peg connectors felt like they were going to fall off the bracket had sharp edges just does not have the nice fit finish you would expect for a high dollar item

Other Thoughts: If this card was priced at 475 i would be happyier

Cons: The cd that comes with it dont have vista or w7 you have to find your self went to cards site and they didnt have drivers for this card went to nvidia try to find driver i sent message to cards tech support but they never responded.I finally found a driver to work with it.

5 out of 5 eggsPlease don't call other people out

Pros: At the time of his writing, EVGA had not released their f-t-w watercooled edition of the 580. So, at the time of writing, this WAS the fastest 580 available. It no longer is, but you can't update reviews.

Card idles in high 20s/low 30s, doesn't break 60C under full load.

Cons: The Galaxy version is $80 cheaper and comes with an added on backplate for additional cooling/support. You're basically paying $80 for an extended warranty.

Other Thoughts: Please don't call other people out when you don't know the facts yourself.

5 out of 5 eggsVirtualJockey is WRONG

Pros: Just to set the record straight, this card is not the fastest production card. The EVGA GTX 580 Hydro Copper 2 is.

Core Clock : 850 MHz
Memory: 4196 Mhz
Shader: 1700 Mhz

Additionally, since it's liquid cooled only one PCI-E slot is occupied.

Cons: All 580 cards are spectacular. I would have purchased the Sparkle instead of the Evga if it were available at the time.

5 out of 5 eggsFast and Quiet

Pros: Fastest single GPU on the planet. (including fastest GTX 580 stock OC clocks)

The Arctic Cooling Accelero Xtreme Plus cooler is as silent as you're going to get on air. The Sparkle Calibre series GPUs also come with a superior VRM cooling heatsink than Arctic Cooling themselves offer if you decide to buy a standard GTX 580 the cooler as an aftermarket add-on (MSRP of $81.54 + Shipping to buy the cooler and GTX 580 mounting kit).

Reference Nvidia PCB, so complete peace of mind that you aren't making a bad choice even if you aren't familiar with Sparkle.

Lifetime warranty, and English customer support located in California.

Cons: This card takes up 3 PCI slots, please be aware of this obstacle if you plan to SLI.

Other Thoughts: It's a shame that this product was discontinued so quickly. Sparkle announced a non-reference version of the Standard GTX 580 on 12/15/2010, so I hope they will continue the Calibre series production with their new PCB so more folks can enjoy this utterly amazing GPU.
