5 out of 5 eggsGood card!

Pros: This card is fast! I used to have 2 GeForce 6800s running in SLi and this thing blows them away. Not even close. I get better framerates, better IQ and I can run DirectX 10.

Cons: Not really the card's fault but it is bottlenecked a bit by my Opteron 175. Also, it uses a ton of power and the 8 pin PCI-E is a pain. I just have two 6 pin plugged in.

Other Thoughts: This thing gets better with every driver release. It looks like the 2900 Pro might be a better bargain though.

5 out of 5 eggsSmoke'n!!!

Pros: THIS THING IS HUGE!! I love ATI and have supported their graphics with much enthusiasm. Although NVIDIA has some good cards out, I was hesitant in getting this card at first but I'm sure glad I did. I upgraded from a X1900XTX and it does a much better job with the games I have and new ones as well(using latest Catalyst version). This thing is loaded with features and extras. Overall quieter than my X1900. I'm excited to see this card work to the top of it's ablitiy in future games. Works great with my Rosewill 550w PSU.

Cons: Does use a lot of power. Only using 2x6pin. Can't overclock with overdrive but no real need too yet. :)

Other Thoughts: My system: E6320 @3.32Ghz 1900Mhz FSB, Zalman 9700 HS/Fan, 4x1GB ADATA DDR2 PC6400 @950Mhz 5-6-6-18, Abit IP35 Pro, ATI 2900XT, Roswill 550w SLI Ready PSU, Coolermaster Centurion case

4 out of 5 eggsLets set things strait......

Pros: Good overclocking, Mine has Hynix "HR5RS573225A" ram that is rated at 2GHZ though stock speeds are 825MHZ x2. (1.66)GHZ.
The 512 bit ram interface leaves room to grow with this gpu ones to come.

Cons: Weaker then expected, but not a massive disapointment.
Is a tad of a power hog & puts out a good bit of heat

Other Thoughts: Proformance i'm sure will improve as time goes on & better drivers emerge, also you have to remeber that Benchmarks ARE NOT real life useage.
Everyone is going to say differnt things because everyones systems are differnt, fanboy or not. Not 1 system is the same even if the part numbers are the same as the next system. people you need to match your system from the ground up if you expect to get the max out of any component.
Think of this as a mear glance at the future as this is the start of Direct X 10 along with new technology that is just starting out.
All I can say is do your homework, match your components as best as possible & keep an eye out for driver updates as even the best hardware in the world is useless with out a good counterpart on the software side.

5 out of 5 eggsput the lies to rest take two

Pros: People give this card bad reviews because they compare this card to 8800GTX because that is all ATI has to offer. The GTX is 8+ months old now and still ATI does not have a card that clearly outperforms it. This is a great mid range card for the $400 market and would recommend it. As it is now if you want more fps go with the 8800GTX or Ultra as benchmarks have proved this in many titles at any resolution.
Nvidia and ATI have gone through there rough times with poor drivers. It's obvious 2900xt is going to improve with drivers alone just like the 8k series can improve in D10. Nvidia hasn't left the many customers they have alone with a big driver release last week. Thats ludicrous to say. I would suggest this card over the 8800GTS 640mb as it should deliver more performance. 8800's are getting old.

Cons: So far only negative I see is the huge hit to performance with AA and AF enabled compared to other cards in the market.

5 out of 5 eggsBest card for Vista 64

Pros: I can max out everything on my 24inch widescreen monitor even oblivion and it doesnt studder for anything. I cant even make it studder.

Cons: Havent found any yet

Other Thoughts: I had 2 Nvidia 7900 in SLI and vista drivers for nvidia suck so bad i would advise if you use vista to game go ATI. my x800 scored higher in vista than my 7900 in sli.. Nvidia drivers suck and they leave thier customers behind when they come out with a new product.

5 out of 5 eggsput the lies to rest

Pros: Ok first off i always here about the better preformance on 8800gtxs well this card will match or out preform it. this card has ran every game iv thrown at it perfectly and it runs evan better in DX10! evan at high reses! every one gives this card bad scores on every review site well after having this card i think there all just fan boy who just dont want to admit this is better and cheaper! ... its blazin fast im running call of juarez 1280 x 1050 full 8xaa\16xaf not a shutter gunna try to push it soon to 1600x1200 but so far amazing! is the only words to use.simple to install no problems at all and it got to me a day early thx newegg i love you!

Cons: hard to find a psu with an 8 pin power supply.(none on the card)

Other Thoughts: this thing is blazin im going toget another and run in cross fire all tests show huge preformance jumps there well worth the money iv never seen anything thiss amazing and dx10 aww im still drewling and just to let you know it relly dose increas the preformance i noticed it the first time played it in dx10 iv plyed this game in x and vista 64 and while it runs fater in vista still awsem in xp, but the card dose seem geard tward vista. BTW the card scores a 6.0 on vista (64)amd 6000+ 4 GB ddr 800 corsair xms mem hd 2900xt asus m2r32-mvp mobo/(P.S o and if you havent research stream procsesers and youll know why this card dose and will continue to out preform 8800gtx and ultra)

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Please use these comments to help potential buyers, not spew fanboyism. Fact: This card loses to the 8800 GTS 320MB half the time even with the new drivers. Comparing it to a 8800 GTX is just dumb, even AMD doesn't try to.

Cons: Costs more then a 8800 GTS, uses more power, runs hotter and produces the same FPS half the time. I would wait for the generation 2 of ATI DX10 cards.

Other Thoughts: I don't care if it's Nvidia or ATI who has the best bang for the buck, I'll buy whatever it is at the time. Currently it is not ATI's first gen DX10 cards.

5 out of 5 eggsVista

Pros: This card needs vista to have the best performance, The Drivers for vista are the best for this card. NO BSOD on vista at all. I used it on xp and got infinite driver loops all the time.

Cons: None besides xp drivers.

5 out of 5 eggsBefore people class this card use latest drivers.

Pros: Don't even class this thing near the
8800GTS This card is way faster. The latest drivers are REQUIRED or this card will suck. This card can play stalker on maximum everything including dynamic light. This card with new drivers is closing the gap between the 8800gtx and ultra.

Cons: N0N3 Except Cruddy drivers that ship.

Other Thoughts: B3st Card 3ver PLAY all games max3d.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Card

Pros: ATI. Great card, Performs well, runs all the current games on max settings.

Cons: Quite big and power hungry

Other Thoughts: All the people complaining about 8800's running better, 8800's are more expensive and have more developed drivers. Wait about 2 months for ATI to get more drivers going and for some DX10 games to come out. Then well see the real victor.
