4 out of 5 eggsWorks great

Pros: I run a school lab with 12 of these cards in Core i5 and Core2Quad machines and they work great driving dual displays at 1280x1024. We run Autodesk Inventor Professional 2012 x64 and there is never a hiccup, even with rather large models. I chose this card because it was Autodesk Inventor certified.

Cons: On really large CAD models, with hundreds of parts with a lot of detail, there will be a little lag or reduced frame rate when rotating or zooming an assembly but it's not too bad. It's about on-par with Intel HD3000 graphics for CAD work, with the benefit that it's on the card and not using CPU cycles for graphics.

3 out of 5 eggsIt Works

Pros: Installation went well with no hiccups.

Cons: Product warranty registration page is non-existent. Could not find any warranty registration on company's web page. Tried clicking warranty product return form and it was a dead link!!! I guess the company does not want to deal with warranty issues.

5 out of 5 eggs5 eggs

Pros: Small and mostly quiet. Avivio video transcoding built into the driver. Doesn't use much power. Solid and stable drivers. DX11. More powerful than Nvidia options at the same price.

Cons: The fan could be quieter. Revit doesn't officially recognize the card (but that hasn't caused any actual problems).

Other Thoughts: I'm driving two 24" 1900x1200 panels with this card doing Revit architectural modelling. The Avivo video transcoding ability was a surprise find that I did not know about.

I wish I'd have got the V4800 instead. I think it is a better buy than this. Clocked higher with more and faster RAM and what looks like a potentially quieter cooler.

4 out of 5 eggsworks

Pros: display port and dvi output (which are easy to convert to hdmi)

Cons: don't know if this is really a huge con - but it scores fairly low on passmark tests compared to non-workstation cards at comparable prices. supposedly from what i have read these workstation cards will do that but will outperform the cards with higher scores in certain software. not sure if the benefits apply to the software i will be using which is primarily photoshop, however this card was listed as being tested by adobe and was in my price range which is why i selected it.

Other Thoughts: if i hadn't been as compulsive when deciding to build a machine i would have saved for a v5800 instead of the v3800

3 out of 5 eggsloud lil guy

Pros: does its job. compatible with SW and others

Cons: no fan control in mfg's driver which is annoying because this thing is loud. louder than the stock 120mm case fan in my cheap case.

Other Thoughts: i wish there was a standardized db measuring protocol for all computer devices.
