3 out of 5 eggsFast, but had issues

Pros: Fast, considering this is one of the cheaper R9 cards. The card ran nice and cool with little power consumption. This card is perfect for revitalizing older builds. The brief periods I did test this, it ran Farcry 4 on ultra at 40-60fps, Assasins Creed Unity 30fps with shadows/extras turned off at 1920x1080, but i opted to send it back-see below.

Cons: I installed it and there was a constant flickering in windows. Changing to different driver versions didn't help. Looking online, I wasn't the first person to experience this issue. It could just be a driver problem, but for me, reverting to older drivers didn't solve the issue, so I am in the process of RMAing it.

Other Thoughts: Still 3 stars, because if you can get this card on sale it is a great deal. In hindsight, I wish I had spent a little more money and gone with a 280 or 290x 4gb model for added performance.

2 out of 5 eggsGood while it worked

Pros: Great card for the price, runs almost everything without surpassing 60 degrees celcious on max settings. And its so quiet while on max load.

Cons: After about 7 months of use the screen started flickering and the display driver started failing. I had all the drivers up to date and it had more than enough power to be able to run. I am very disapointed. But dont lower your hopes my friend ordered his the same day as mine and it works fine and still does. Just dont overlook the extended warranty since you will regret not getting it if you encounter my situation.

Other Thoughts: Rig:

2 out of 5 eggsNot as Advertised

Pros: Card works and it did come with free games. Good price. If you are looking for a video card with less specs than described.

Cons: Ordered thinking I was getting 4GB w/384-bit processing, but when specs where checked with a video card and cpu software it had 4GB w/256-bit? Also, the manufacture states different specs? Contacted customer service via email and no reply at this time. If I had known I would have spent more money and got the card with the specs I was looking for during my build.

Other Thoughts: I have purchased several thousand dollars of equipment from this company. I am unhappy with this purchase.

5 out of 5 eggsSapphire Radeon R9 270X 4GB

Pros: I got this card after I bought a Sapphire card for my other computer, I was so impressed with it, and then I found this one at a great price, and Sapphire has been impressing me with everything I have gotten from them. Works great for everything I have thrown at it too.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I have been building computers for years now, with this card being a very impressive buy for the price, and the performance. Sapphire has made me a believer that there are still some companies out there that believe in their products and giving the customer more for their money.

2 out of 5 eggsNot 384-Bit

Pros: Solid card. Good cooling. Low price!

Cons: As another reviewer mentioned GPUZ does not rate the Memory Bus as 384. Instead its 256. I feel this should be changed in the description of this card because the 384-Bit was a selling point for me.

Other Thoughts: Replaced a GTX 580 1.5 Gb card for this one hoping to have more memory and the same 384 Memory Bus.

2 out of 5 eggsNot Actually 384 bit?

Pros: Appears to be a solid card that keeps cool. Just installed it in my case as of this writing.

Cons: GPUZ rates this card at 256 bus width. One of the main reasons I ordered this card was for the 384 bit.

Other Thoughts: Is there another program to use to verify graphics card specs? If the card is truly 256 and not 384 then I'm very disappointed in the false advertising. I've only ordered from new egg for over 10 years and this is a first!

5 out of 5 eggsSAPPHIRE 100364-4GL Radeon R9 270X 4GB 384-Bit GDDR5

Pros: I grabbed this card over 6 months ago & it was a huge upgrade from a 6850. I liked it so much, I grabbed a 2nd card to run cross fired. I'm getting 100-120 fps in Battlefield 4 now set on ultra.

Using an AMD 8350 (Oc to 4700MHz) 16 gigs of Gskill trident 10's on A Crosshair 5 formula Z Mother Board, I'm getting a score of P12690 in 3DMARK11.

Cons: (If these are cons?) The 2 cards I have with this same model number both are listed at 256 Bit by GPU-Z. (Maybe they upped it to 384 bit on newer models?)

I was looking at this card again to maybe grab a 3rd to Tri-Fire them, Apparently they only have 1 slot each for the crossfire bridge & can NOT be tri-fired. Unlike 3-way sli bridges, AMD don't make them.

Other Thoughts: Very solid card for the price. I would buy a 3rd if it supported 3 way crossfire.

1 out of 5 eggsscreen flicker

Pros: high fps in games.

Cons: screen flickers every 5 min or so. It happens while playing games, watching video, and while sitting at the desktop. Waiting to hear back form sapphire tech support before sending an rma.
