3 out of 5 eggsNot worth the headache

Pros: Runs really quiet I was surprised. Sleek and cool looking.

Cons: Runs hot!! I can bake a cake on it. If you are running a single card it is recommended that it runs on the first PCI slot for maximum performance. However since this monster runs hot in rapidly heats up the processor so you must make sure you have good air flow through your system or else it will constantly freeze and lock up your system as it did on mine. Had to purchase additional fans for ventilation.

Another thing that is driving me crazy is that this card is advertised as AMD Radeon HD 7990 however when it installs it is recognized as a Firepro S10000 which are two different cards. One is meant for gaming, and the other as a workstation/server card meant for heavy CAD, and 3D modeling professionals. It was not designed for gaming. Which I believe it runs hot when gaming since it wasn't designed for games. I have tried looking for reviews and ways to install drivers to have it recognized as a Radeon HD7990 video card but nothing seems to work. Did I get a switched card maybe? There seems to be no reviews out on the internet about this card besides the usual AMD press release about how awesome this card is. The only reviews that are out there are for AMD Radeon HD 7990 which this card is clearly not (or at least does not install as such) I'm getting about 50 fps on Battlefield 4 on High which is really not that impressive given the price tag for this card. It goes down to the 40's in Ultra.

Other Thoughts: The only reason I purchased this card was because I was building a new rig. Once I had all my parts I was getting ready to check out and Newegg threw this marvelous bundle at me right at check out. It had all my original parts I was buying and it threw in this card at a discount. Looking at the price tag and the specs I thought why not spend a little more and get an awesome graphics card. Which wasn't the case. If I would have known of these issues I would have just waited to get one of the higher end cards that just came out, and spent a little more. Now I'm stuck with an expensive card that performs the same as lower-end cheaper graphics card. So if you're looking at this card and are thinking of putting it in a gaming rig I would suggest looking for another card.

Minus 2 eggs for the confusion this card has been causing me about it's identity. Is it the Firepro S10000 workstation card? or the Radeon HD 7990 as its specified in the Specs section of this card?

4 out of 5 eggsBang for Buck

Pros: Was worth every penny. It does everything I need it to. It even makes espresso and flushes the toilet when I am away.

Cons: While it does just about anything the wife can do, the price tag still earned me a divorce. One egg for that.

Other Thoughts: Get a cheaper card and learn to flush the toilet on your own.
