1 out of 5 eggsRuined several motherboards

Pros: worked OK for a few months

Cons: Started having issues with my PC not booting and when it did no video. Swapped in an old video card and still no video so I tried this video card in another PC. Now both are having booting problems and won't display video. Will attempt to return but just so I can sell it, I don't want to give this card in another PC motherboard to ruin.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Mid-range card for the budget builder!

Pros: Paired with a FX-8350 with liquid cooling, an Asus M5A99X R2.0, 2133mhz Cas Latency 9 DDR3 Ram, and a fantastic 500GB SLAMsung SSD.

- It plays metro 2033 Redux on max. High Five. ~60fps on the War chapter and on the surface with all the particle effects jammed in your face near the end.
- Fallout 4 on max whatever no big deal.
- It stays cool and is pretty quiet.
- Card feels sturdy and appears well designed (as always sapphire).
- Aesthetically pleasing.
- AMD drivers don't appear to be giving trouble.

Cons: - Kind of an older card at this point (see mobo in pros. I don't expect to be using it for more than 3 years, but that's what made it ideal choice for my $700 rig. You get what you pay for quite literally in the rig building world. Unless you're one of those enthusiasts who drops loadsamoneh on the latest and greatest every 3 months. Whatever man I put that into stocks and bonds and steampunk replicas.

- There seems to be a trend for AMD and NVIDIA to be borderline intrusive with their driver bloatware. It's easily deleted and forgotten on each update.

Other Thoughts: Sapphire has always done me well. I find that those that impart heavy criticism on certain GPU card manufacturers tend to be the low percentage of people that may have received a defective product. I can tell you straight up that I never had a single problem with my last build running a Radeon 5750 HD from them. It was an excellent card and was well built.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent price/performance card

Pros: The card runs most modern games like a boss. No crashes or serious issues so far. Subnautica, Crysis 2, ARMA 3 and every other game I've thrown at it it has handled with grace. I was skeptical of my purchase as this was my first build but no issues so far.

Cons: It does run a little hotter than I was comfortable with at first cause I wasn't really aware of the limits of this card. However I would like to be able to find a custom solution for cooling but apparently that's hard to find for this card. It is a little power hungry and it did have some coil whine I think but its right next to my PSU and it hasn't happened recently so I can't pinpoint it to one specific component.

Other Thoughts: Another thing that I would say is a gripe not really the fault of the card is that most of the time you look up tech help on this card you will either get the 280x or 285 not this card specifically. Another thing I will say is that if your looking for a good mid tier GPU AMD makes some of the best. If you want and can afford top tier then go for Nvidia but if your looking for something that works then I will always recommend AMD.

3 out of 5 eggs75/25 graphics will work

Pros: Many new games can play on epic/ultra but normally it can run on high or very high. Overall it is fairly reliable.

Cons: Many older games and a few older games will crash with in 1 to 10 mins of playing. The driver they use seems to be the issue.

Other Thoughts: If you have a sound resistant case it is really quiet.

5 out of 5 eggsNo issues

Pros: Built my first computer with this card. No regrets. Had some issues with the color red, turned out to just be the age of my HDTV, got a 40" Vizio and everything looks beautiful (like it should have all along). I run Blizzard games on my 40" hdmi and Netflix on the 17" VGA/DVI with no lag or tearing.
Pair this with a decent processor and you will love it.

Cons: Only 1 HDMI port.

1 out of 5 eggsWorsening issues

Pros: Not too expensive
Worked initially

Cons: I got this card and at first it seemed to work fine for most everything. I had issues with a few games and flickering black squares. After a couple months of ownership I started noticing these issues in more and more of my games and even in windows itself. It got to the point of being unusable and I had to purchase another card to get some working graphics. Would not purchase again.

5 out of 5 eggsThere's some weird stuff here

Pros: Excellent performance for a good price, well built. I have been happy with my purchase from day one. popped it right in and it worked perfect the first time and every time since. It reminds me of a simpler time, a time when Poppa played the lute and mum baked cranberry muffins while the children hurriedly skeedaddled down the street clad in denim and polyester aboard a small displacement dirtbike, perhaps followed by a friend on a four wheeler painted as a velociraptor, only to arrive at the comic shop moments after closing time at six PM and going home in a rage to play red alert 2 whilst eating the aforementioned cranberry muffins. I personally would count that as a pretty big pro for a mass produced piece of metal, plastic and silicon.

Cons: Didn't let me take over Galover square. Other than that this card has performed excellently in the line of duty and receives high marks across the board and the broad.

3 out of 5 eggsGreat at first but ended up being a dud

Pros: Ran all my games at max graphic settings at 60fps.

Cons: Many graphical errors in most of my games and around my pc. Posterization, blue lines, stretched graphics, nothing looked right.

Other Thoughts: Hoping mine was just a dud and either Newegg or SAPPHIRE/AMD can help me out with a replacement.

1 out of 5 eggsDO NOT PURCHASE THIS CARD

Pros: It ran well for about 3 months. If thats a pro.

Cons: This card states it has a core clock of 850 with a boost clock of 940. Upon opening the Sapphire interface, it stated it was resting at 940, and when under stress from gaming, dropped itself to 850 and heated up to above 50 degrees celcius. I'm now getting screen tearing while playing the smallest of games. This Video card is a 180 dollar wall hanger, because it doesn't belong in anyone's case. Do yourself a favor, and buy an MSI card.

Other Thoughts: Complete Garbage. Will never purchase Sapphire again. Can't believe the terrible quality. Guess I have a target next time I go shooting.
