Hi everyone. Thanks for all of your answers to my question. The reason I asked whether or not this 390X that Newegg is selling has a back plate is that Sapphire makes two versions of this card. After some further checking on their website I found that the one that has the back plate is overclocked to 1080 MHz, not 1050 MHz as this one is. For some reason no one seems to have the higher overclocked one with the back plate available.

The fans aren't working. Anybody knows why it may be?

There are about three dozen possible causes. Ranging from something is stuck in them, to your power supply is not giving them enough power.

Start by verifying that they should be running. If your gpu is not running warm enough they will not turn on. You can also turn them off in the drivers using the Sapphire control software. So check that.

Other than that, open a ticket with the manufactures support team and see what they say.

It is a very thick card. Don't expect to use more than one of these on a standard spaced motherboard.

What is the max resolution on this card?  Thanks!

The max resolution that I've been personally been running is 3840x2160. But with the virtual super resolution enabled on a lower res monitor, 1080p for instance, you can get it to 3200x1800. With future driver updates and support, 5k can be a possibility.

Anyone know the max number of monitors that can be connected to this card in a multi monitor configuration?

Thanks, and without DP MST, is it still the same 2 legacy and up to 6 native i.e. in this case the DVI and HDMI and 3 DP all at the same time so 5 total?  I am wanting to do a 3 monitor Eyefinity surround for gaming with 1 accessory monitor.

Does this come with 8 pin adapters? and if so, is there any drawbacks in using 2 6 to 8 pin adapters to power it? I am using a corsair tx750m psu

No adapters come with it that im aware of and im not sure if that will work or not but full 8 pin will be your best power delivery

Greetings, I originally found this card on a different site. The card on the other site has a different model number though (11241-00-20G). This model on newegg seems to have another model: (100381OCL). Whats the difference?

I'll look up the other model number and compare these two cards to see if I can find a differential for you.

Primarily I see an occasional total video memory differential where as 11241-00-20G lists sometimes as 4GB or as 8GB  The model number on this site lists only as 8GB of video memory.

Other than this I've not seen any difference.  It may be no more significant than what manufacturing plant physically manufactured the device.  Sorry I couldn't be of more help on this one.  It does seem to be a bit of a mystery.

What are the power requirements for 1,2, and 3 monitors? I would only be running one. also what are the dimensions am I going to need to build a whole new PC just to fit the unit?

This card lists as fitting the ATX form factor cases.  However unless you have no internal drive bays directly behind your pcie slots you will likely run into difficulties installing this card.  It does fit my case with out a drive installed but it was a chore to get it into place.  This card is somewhat oversized as compared to most cards designed for the ATX form factor.

How is this better or worse then the R9 295x?

The R9 295X2 is two 290X's on one card. So it is more like 2 290X's crossfired while the 390X is more like an overclocked 290X.
