5 out of 5 eggsA Question Please

Pros: Seems good

Cons: Could be bad if it requires both PSU ports to be used.

Other Thoughts: I am extremely curious does it require that you use BOTH of the PSU plug ins or does it just require one or the other.

Other Thoughts: ASUS Blitz Extreme. Intel Q6600 @ 3.4Ghz on AIR. GeCube 2900XT. Team XTreeem DDR3 1300 1GB x 2. Higher than 99% of all System on 3DMark!

5 out of 5 eggs100 Happy!

Pros: Great graphics and I feel my money was well spent. Fan is no louder than my X850 that I had before this card. Installed easy with no problems 90-100 FPS with COD2 maxed in DX9. DX10 is AWSOME! - Tested with Lost Planet.

Cons: Lower FPS under Vista than XP but im sure that will be solved in a driver update soon.

Other Thoughts: The drivers seem to need some help. Lets hope ATI will fix the Vista part of the drivers soon.

Overall im 100% happy with this card as im sure other hardcore ATI fans will be also.

5 out of 5 eggsFast Card!!!

Pros: Quiet, very quiet cooling fan. It is much faster than my older AIW X800XT. My frame rate in Silent Hunter 4, map view, went from 37 to 118 fps.

Cons: Heavy, gets hot to the touch after a while, but what would you expect, it get colder?

Other Thoughts: I downloaded the new ver 7.9 drivers from ATI, didn't notice any changes or improvements in speed, but I have only had it running less than a week.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat card

Pros: This card is blazing fast!! I'm playing CoD2 on DX9 rendering and get 100 FPS constantly in a 60 person multiplayer game!

Crossfire works with P35 chipset but not SLi

Cons: It's gigantic and is literally half the size of my motherboard, but so is the GTX so whatever.. no biggie if ur using a full tower

Other Thoughts: can't wait to see what this puppy can do once it gets better drivers and the dx10 titles start rolling out

5 out of 5 eggsBest Band 4 Da Buck

Pros: oced 848 core 900 mem with a 6 to 8 pin adaptor. I run most games at 12aa 8af over 60fps @ 1680x1050 22" monitor. can oc higher but, ati tool does not work with vista yet, so I have to use ati overdrive. for 200 less u get 8800gtx performace with ati/amd image quality

Cons: weird drivers... Under vista 64 it runs slower (alot slower) windows xp pro 32bit.

Other Thoughts: Im a Ati fanboy... but these drivers need to be fixed a.s.a.p running 7.9 beta thats helping a little fps are still low 4 somereason

5 out of 5 eggsGreat card, worth the money

Pros: * Fast
* DirectX 10.0
* Hardware tessellation
* High-def video decoding
* Dual slot design to vent heat
* Good driver support

Cons: * Dual slot design does take up an extra slot.. if you're worried about that sort of thing
* Requires a decent power supply (550W or so)

Other Thoughts: Mostly: An HD2900XT is much faster than an X1800GTO.

This card at idle is no louder than my X1800GTO was, and I haven't even noticed whether the card is louder during gaming - I can still easily hear my speakers, if anyone is worried about that.

My system's heat hasn't gone up noticeably either.. if anything it's slightly lower since I have another fan blowing out the case.

I believe the noise and heat concerns in general are greatly overemphasized.

As for the drivers, every game I've tried has worked perfectly - HL2: E1, Lost Coast, Oblivion, 3DMark 2006, Second Life.. and of course much more quickly than an X1800GTO.

Buy this card. In fact, buy 3.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat card!

Pros: Great performance for the price point, very competitive with the GTX in most new games. Older games have driver performance issues, newer drivers are improving. Some games will have nice improvements with 8.40s (7.7) ive been using them first hand. Overclocks well running 825/2000Mhz in all games cept DX10 demos or games, i run 800/2000Mhz.

Cons: Fan is loud @ 100% but i dont care when im blasting music, tho it has ALOT of air power! 60% is perfect for mild overclocking and sound.

Other Thoughts: I have the Powercolor HD2900XT, tho they dont have it right now @ newegg. I will be getting another when they drop to $xxxish. Crysis was confirmed by devs on their forum that this card might end up a bit faster then a GTX in their title. Looks like the DX10 performance even at a low clock speed (742Mhz) will be stellar. Dont judge so called "DX10" games the real ones will be bioshock, UT3, and crysis.

5 out of 5 eggsthere is nothing wrong with this card

Pros: This is the best mid range card you will find. this card even beats the 8800 gtx in some features even tho is designed to compete with the 8800 gts like offloading more HD video-decoding work from the CPU and transfers it to the GPU, witch allows your CPU to work better and faster and for the price it does more than it should.

Cons: Its a power hog...consumes too much power(about 210 watts)so a 550w PSU is recommended just to be safe.

Other Thoughts: You will need some space if u don't want anything happening to this card. A mid size tower is not enough.
