4 out of 5 eggsPretty Good

Pros: Better than my old Radeon X800XT, great performance, runs cooler than ppl have been saying.

Cons: if i stand the computer up the fan clicks against the plastic and eventually stops... was expecting a little more performance.... the metal things on the front of the card were bent so i had to bend them back...

Other Thoughts: the card was running on a 430W psu and eventually fried the psu... installed a 400W psu for now and windows blue screens when ever i try to install airborne... runs other games fine...

5 out of 5 eggsGreat

Pros: Runs everything i've thrown at it, no problem.. I can run Crysis on full settings with no lag.. wonderful price for the power.

Cons: it's huge, but works no problem wiht my ds3r and antec 900.. doesnt overclock well?

Other Thoughts: i've heard everyone complaining about it overheating.. for me it never has.. i have an antec 900 case with all fans on low and super low controlled by the psu, and the big one on medium. It runs everything really fast and has never crashed or anything..

4 out of 5 eggsYou'll need to add a better cooling system.

Pros: Over all, it's a great card, especially for the money. I've always heard that ATI provided more for the money and I wasn't disappointed.

Cons: Its fan/heatsink combo doesn't keep up with the demand. After 5 minutes playing UT3, the heat sink is hot to the touch and had an impact on the game play (lllaaaagggg).

I've also had problem with the fan hitting the plastic casing, but I overcame by loosening one of the casing's screws.

Other Thoughts: If considering this card, be sure to include a decent cooling system in the budget.

1 out of 5 eggsPretty fast, but hot and big

Pros: Fast for the money. Runs BioShock great and performs modestly with Crysis when set at 1240x1024.

Cons: This thing is just runs really hot and needs a better cooling device, it tops out at over 100C before crashing. To top it of this thing is huge, had to mode every case I tried to put this thing in.

Other Thoughts: I returned this card and got a much faster card from newegg.com which came out to be the same after considering it's rebate and this 1950XT would need a 3rd party cooler and 45minutes of my time to run properly.

If nothing else this card has a bright future at boiling water.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing, but hot

Pros: This card is amazing... it can run anything I throw at it without a hitch, it only needed a new PSU and it began to show it's true potential.

Cons: It runs hot.... really really hot.... I had to buy a zalman V900 CU video card cooler just so I could play high end games without it shutting itself off due to heat.

Other Thoughts: Get some Artic Silver 5 and a better cooler and you'll be set.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: This card is very cheap for the great performance. I upgraded the cooler to a Thermaltake TMG VGA watercooler and the temperatures have been cool for overclocking. I use ATI Tray Tools and have gotten the core to 641 MHz and the memory to 756 MHZ.Temperatures on idle have been in the 30's and gaming gets from low 40's to the high 40's.

Cons: The stock memory is 700 MHz, which is the same on the Pro's.

5 out of 5 eggsBest DX9 card

Pros: I also purchased this card 3 months ago except I got the Sapphire version of 512MB X1950 XT, which is a little bit faster than GCUBE. X1950 XT is absolutely amazing card and this is why. My machine spec is Pentium D805 @ 2.8Ghz, 2GB of DDR2 800, and 20" at 1680x1050. Far Cry runs 60 fps, v synced and everything on max (AA 2X). Half Life 2 runs 60 fps, v synced and everything on max (AA 2x). Chronicles of Riddick runs 60 fps v synced everything on max. Condemned runs 30 fps, v synced everything on max (AA 2X). Call of Duty 4 Demo average fps is 40 and never goes under 30, everything for DX9 is set to max (NO AA) My Cpu usage is 90% - 100% during game play. Quake Wars Demo average fps is 20 on max settings because of my Pentium D. With descent core 2 duo you can get 30-45 fps, v-synced and everything on max (NO AA) on 1680x1050 resolution.

Cons: It's loud.

Other Thoughts: I was surprised how well my 512mb x1950xt performed in Call of Duty 4 Demo. I know that when I upgrade my mobo and cpu I will get 60 fps on 1680x1050 resolution (everything on max and no AA) My setup already makes my 360 look last gen. Can't wait to get e6750 and x38. Hope this help someone.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat deal for th emoney

Pros: Cheap
Fast
Crossfire for the win!

Cons: Terrible fan quality

Other Thoughts: Software Crossfire support eliminates the need for a costly "Master" card. Pick up two of these suckers and run in software mode. However, budget in cash for a new cooler. Many people here have commented on its poor quality. Mine rattled something fierce. My wife was ready to kill me a few hours after I installed it. Still, even budgeting $30-40 for a new fan, this is STILL an awesome deal.

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Good performance, good fan layout, nice looking card overall.

Cons: Poor Quality. After two weeks the fan started to rattle loudly while gaming. RMA'd the first card. The second card lasted 12 hours and started to produce screen artifacts. I was not sure that the card was the problem so I transferred it to another computer and the second computer had the same problem. I'll RMA the second card also.

Other Thoughts: Newegg was very helpful on the first RMA, so hopefully they'll be as helpful on the second.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: This card performs very well under any ordinary game. I can run Oblivion, Rainbow Six: Vegas, FEAR, Bioshock, and Half Life 2 all on the highest settings. Oblivion, I will warn you, does hiccup when you play outdoors, but its not bad, and goes away if you drop the resolution a little. Good price for such a powerful card.

Cons: This card is a power hog. I had two buy a PSU just to run this card. This card is big. It hogs up a fair amount of my case, but I have a small case (1 PCI-e slot). This card is also hot, but the stock fan handles the heat well. So don't be concerned if this card hits 85-90c under full load.

Other Thoughts: People complain about this card being loud, but as far as I've heard it doesn't even really become audible over my processor fan unless I OC the fan to run at 100%.

THE BOTTOM LINE-So while my "cons" section is fairly long, none of the things in there are "true" cons. And the "pros" are all very good ones. So if you are looking for a good card at a reasonable price, look no further.
