Pros: The card itself is smaller than the reference cards and has a big cooler that will take up two slots. Forget about what you have heard about the HD 4850 running hot and loud because this one runs very quietly and idles at 49C. On load it goes up to the high 50s and rarely breaks 60C. I did not notice a significant noise increase when on load.

Cons: This card comes in a very big box with very little accessories. If you have an older power supply without a six pin power connector you will need to buy the molex to six pin adapter. They do include a six pin to 8 pin adapter, a dvi to vga adapter and an instruction manual. That is all your getting inside the box.

Other Thoughts: This card replaced my 8600GT and now my computer is quiet to the point where I can hear my hard drive activity. Performance is better than the reference card but it is not the fastest third party overclocked 4850.

Using a 4-pin molex connector to get to 6-pin power isn't a good idea in general unless you have a beefy PSU. There is no way for us to tell how people will install this but we need to make sure there is enough power.
