5 out of 5 eggsblazing

Pros: wow 1GB memory at 160$ in price with the equivalent speeds of the 512MB comparisons a little long compared to my 8600GTS but i have a full tower and good motherboard so i'm not complaining

Cons: might run hot in anything smaller than a mid case but i think a mid case would be fine, not really a con though.

Other Thoughts: BUY THIS CARD it has nearly twice the stream processors of a 9600GT and its 160$ i was a little skeptical about buying a "Zotac" brand graphics card because i always used to stick with EVGA but the reviews were good so i thought i'd give it a try..... wow speechless

this card is insane and for 160$ good job ZOTAC u've made a new customer of your product & newegg shipped here within 3 days :D

5 out of 5 eggsWhat a beast!

Pros: I bought this card strictly for Blu ray playback, but I've since added several games for the big kids and the little! lol

This video card is amazing!! I use a 52 inch Sharp LCD as my display. It runs all games that are capable at full resolution 1920 X 1080 on this flat panel. There's plenty of power for just about anyones needs. My Blu rays look phenomenal as well as the games I have installed like "Devil may cry". Regular DVDs seem to look better as well compared to my former 7600 card which was light years behind this one. The ATI 3450 I used before was quite noisy! This card is as quiet as a church mouse and the build quality is second to none.

Cons: I wish it had true HDMI audio/ video output.

Other Thoughts: Buy this card!!! It is truly a BEAST!!

5 out of 5 eggsGREAT CARD!

Pros: I bought 2 of these cards and I have to say that I am running Age of Conan on ULTRA and am getting between 80 - 310 FPS! YES 310 in some aras of the game where it is dark I have hit 310 FPS. These cards are OUTSTANDING!! Beng a new company and cheap prices I was skeptical but there is no need to be! JUST BUY THEM!!

Cons: NONE! I can see how they might be a bit big for some but I am using a FULL TOWER and have no issues!

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent value and performance

Pros: Runs all Half-Life2 based games on max settings at 1280x1024 resolution with 60+ fps. Have yet to see it drop below about 55-58fps, even in the most intense situations.

Nvidia has great Linux drivers, and the installation for these drivers in Ubuntu 8.04 was as easy as clicking a checkbox and rebooting. I run Steam/HL2 based games in Ubuntu Linux using Wine. My old 7600GT with 256MB of RAM would run around 25fps and drop to 9fps every 3 seconds. This card runs TF2 at a solid 35-40fps in Linux! No drops! Portal, HL2, and the rest of the orange box all 40+ fps.

1GB of RAM on the card is amazing!

Cons: Still only runs Crysis well on medium settings. Any higher than that and it gets jerky if you move the mouse too quickly or there is any enemy engagement. However, I feel this is likely due to the rest of the specs on my system. I only have an Athlon64 3800 (single core) with 2GB of PC3200 RAM. I imagine a better processor and faster RAM would enable playing Crysis on high settings.

Other Thoughts: The card is roughly 9 inches long so you will need to make sure your case is large enough to support this card. It also requires a 6-pin power connector so make sure you have one available from your power supply. Alternatively they provide a converter in the package, but you have to make sure you have TWO free 4-pin connectors.

I wasn't able to find any specifications for this card in particular, but a similar BFG card (675MHz core clock with 1950MHz memory clock) required at least a 425W supply with 28A on the 12V rail. Check the sticker on your power supply before purchasing. I am using an Ultra 500W supply with exactly 28A on the 12V rail and it works perfectly. Also have 2 DVD drives, 2 SATA-II hard drives, and a floppy connected. 500W seems to be more than enough, as long as your 12V rail has enough amps.

5 out of 5 eggsRather Nice Card

Pros: Fast as all get-out! Fear, Bioshock, Wow, Doom3, HL2, all with everything set to high EVERYTHING and no lag period. I can get 60fps on Wow no matter where I am. Lagforge, Shatlag, both non-existent with no OCing. Bear in mind I'm also running a Core2duo system though. I was running an 8800gs with my P4 system with not nearly as good results but then again, that card shows signs of defects so I'm RMAing. The fan stays cool as long as you manually up the speed to about 65% at which it is still inaudible. I truly hope it stays up and running cuz it's a really good card!

Cons: Well, just like the 8800gs I had, it is the longest card I have ever seen, hands down. You will really want to consider whether you have options where to put your harddrive. Luckily, I use PSI Zodiac cases and have several bays but some users may not. The end of the card extends to about 1/4 inch from where your power connectors on your harddrive are if the two units are at the same level. Therefore, you must consider how the 6-pin power hookup will have to be plied.

Other Thoughts: If you can get past the length issue, you will be pleased, provided it survives. But there again, this 8800gt carries Newegg's standard return policy which I found on hardly any others. So what do you have to lose? Yeah...buy it!

5 out of 5 eggsAMAZING!

Pros: This card is perfect. I can play anything on high, AA, in 1650 x 1050 res. Unlike most this card has an aluminum cover instead of cheap plastic so it draws even more heat, overclocked very high and performs phenomenally!

Cons: size is kind of an issue with any mid sized or small cases. Some people put it covering SATA ports as a con but really that would be your MOBO not the card.

Other Thoughts: Apevia X-Telstar, AMD x2 5400+, Zalman 9700 LED, M2N32 SLI Deluxe, Thermaltake 750W, 4GB XMS2, 500GB Hitachi HDD, Zotac 1GB 8800GT.

2 out of 5 eggsArtifacts from Overclocking =\

Pros: Great price and value for a 8800 GT card. You get 1GB of memory for the same price of a 512MB card from other brands. I've never tried Zotac before so I did some research. I've read mostly positive feedback. It's a great single slot card that fits in my Dell 520.

Cons: ARTIFACTS!! After playing Medieval 2 and Age of Conan for 30 minutes, I started getting some artifacts. The longer I played, the more artifacts were popping up on the screen. I had to stop when my entire screen was filled with shimmering spikes. I downloaded a program that controls the core clock on the card and turned it down to the nVidia factory setting of 600 MHz and the artifacts went away. So I think this was due mainly to overclocking by Zotac and the card got way too hot.

Other Thoughts: Not sure if the artifacts is the result of a bad card. Will call newegg to find out if I should replace it.
