3 out of 5 eggsvideo card

Pros: is cheap can easily be put into sli under 450 watts a calculator i used said it could run on 360 watt power supply in slibetter than onboard fanless which means slimmer

Cons: even in sli you will not be able to max out newest dx10 games but this is a solid chose for xp users

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Cheap Card

Pros: Great starter PCIe16 card. Quiet. No problems on many popular games. (Have one in each of my sons' PCs - they see massive improvements in WoW, CoH/V, etc. from their old ATI 9600 series AGP cards).

Cons: Many newer games have the capacity to outrun this card. If you are on the bleeding edge, pay for a better card.

Other Thoughts: This is a great gateway card that will allow you to get into a PCIe format without dropping a huge wad of cash.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect Fanless Card

Pros: I've been waiting for a 7600gs to get cheap, they are the perfect fanless card. They play just about any game unless you're a pro, it uses like 27 watts so you don't need to worry about power supply (like with the 9 series which takes 50-100 watts) or heat (like with the 8 series which has overheating issues) and... it is silent and cheap. has a plain old s-video out.

Cons: If it's frying inside my case, I don't care, it's silent. I can't stand cards that sound like a blow dryer.

Other Thoughts: I would have bought an 8600 if I wasn't scared about the chipset defects that may or may not exist. I would have bought a 9500 if they were anywhere near this price, but they are just hotter and won't run dx10 well anyway, so why not go with the cool quiet one. I like the 7 series.

5 out of 5 eggsZT-76SEG2P-HSL

Pros: Plays COD4 well on defalt settings - granted - the images are a little "flatter" then how they look on a 9800gt or even on a 8600gt. But hay we're talking about a forty dollar card here!

Cons: 256mb RAM and 128bit bus - but then again we're talking a forty dollar card most cards in this price point have a 64bit bus

Other Thoughts: You shouldn't think that a forty dollar card should run like a one-hundred and twenty dollar card.

4 out of 5 eggsHot enough to cook an egg

Pros: Low price and works great.

Cons: It is hot enough that you can not hold your finger on the heat sink for more than a few seconds without burning yourself. Minus one egg for that.

Other Thoughts: I pried off that ZOTAC emblem, and put a fan onto the heat sink. It feels much cooler now. Luckily, I had a spare fan. You should order a fan with this. I used the fan from one of those Cool Master SLC-S41-U1. The screws fit into the smaller grooves on the heat sink without modification. A larger fan would probably work better, but this is good enough to cool it down dramatically.
