5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: 24/7 F@H for 7-8 months, the I gave it to a friend who has been gaming with it for 2 months now. No indication of impending failure. Seeing as how I got it for $9.99, I am more than satisfied.

Cons: $30.00 rebate took a surprisingly long time to arrive.

2 out of 5 eggsNo Rebate - I will never buy Zotac again

Pros: OK card

Cons: Not worth what I paid for it that's for sure! Would have been an OK deal if I got the rebate back.

Other Thoughts: I will be on the lookout to never buy anything Zotac makes and will warn friends.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Card Dishonest Manufacturer

Pros: Good card value overall.

Even with not getting the rebate, can't beat the value for the price

Cons: Like most others, didn't get my rebate. I also had to spend about a week to register the rebate online to begin with even before I mailed it in, which entailed about 5 emails to a zotac rep. Then she told me to go ahead and mail the form in, so I did.

So after waiting 8 weeks to see if they would process it, I then sent them an email and here is the email I received back.

"We did not receive your rebate submission here including UPC Bar Code, Completed Rebate Form and Copy of you invoice.

5 out of 5 eggsDecent budget card

Pros: - Does as expected, No problems installing. Decent entry level pcie card. Should handle any older games, steam games, etc pretty well.

- The fastest rebate processing ive ever experienced in 12 years of doing rebates(which is odd considering many negative reviews about their rebate process). I got my rebate within 3 weeks....

Cons: - Good budget card, but honestly, you can find faster cards in the same price range. I would only pay $20(after rebate) max for a card like this. You can easily find a GT 240, GT 430 for about the same price after rebate and those are a bit faster.

- Not a big issue, but you have to email zotac to get the card registered as the serial number comes up as "not found", so they have to add it for you.

Other Thoughts: I was a bit apprehensive purchasing this card due to many users reviews about not getting rebates or other issues with rebates from zotac. After taking a chance, I am glad I did. This rebate processing was actually the fastest I have ever experienced. I got my rebate check within only 3 weeks of mailing it in. That is very fast. Makes me wonder why so many users say they have issues. Not following directions maybe?

4 out of 5 eggsRebate Timeframe

Pros: Great price after rebate
HDMI output worked without having to hunt down drivers or configuration settings.

Cons: Not up to modern gaming.
Slow RAM by video card standards.

Other Thoughts: Rebate did arrive, without having to follow-up, though it took nearly 5 months.

5 out of 5 eggsApologies and Rebate Received

Pros: Video Card works well and no problems. Installs easily.

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: I left a couple of comments about the rebate. I actually made a mistake with the paperwork as I ordered two video cards around the same time. My bad and I owe ZOTAC an apology. A rebate for $32 did come after 4 1/2 months but that may have been partly my fault so I can't blame ZOTAC. Better late than never. The 5 egg rating should help the score of the card -- which has been trouble free -- since I blasted it with low marks.

3 out of 5 eggsGood basic card with PWM fan

Pros: The ONLY low end card with a PWM fan; Solid build quality; Does everything a basic card needs to do and more; Runs cool; Does not need any special power supply (this is a basic card, again); Distinct video card, so does not load memory bus like chipset or cpu build-in video (no UMA);

Cons: The fan is noisy even after the fan control slowed it down; Not a high performance piece (obviously); Rebate is a game of luck; Too expensive w/o the rebate; Card is slower in many operations than the i2500K build-in graphics;

Other Thoughts: Zotac had a specialty of making low end cards with 4 wire (pwm) fans that are controlled by the card bios. This is the last of that, even they switched to 2 wire constant speed buzzers in their newer (cheap) cards. Sadly, this fan is noisy even after the controller spun it down to a lower speed.

Zotac rebate has a bad rap. I first went to register the card, but the SN was not accepted. Opened ticket with customer support, sent scanned of paperwork to them, got the card registered. THEN I logged the rebate on their website and sent the rebate paperwork by mail. I got my money in about 2 months, so at the end the card cost me $10. It does worth that much, but probably not more.

1 out of 5 eggsSTAY AWAY FROM ZOTAC!

Pros: The card isn't at issue here, as it functions properly and exceeds expectations. The card, even for the full price, isn't bad. This is good in HTPC applications where full height cards can be utilized. This card also games moderately well, keeping pace with a similarly spec'd 9500gt. Scores are decent in WEI for those who care, 6.3/5.5

Cons: The company that manufactures this card is the only con here. Zotac finds a way to deny rebates, if at all possible. If they can't find a reason to deny it, they lose it in the mail. I also disagree with the fact you have to send in the original UPC off the package to obtain your rebate, but it becomes THEIR property. So if you send in for the rebate, you better hope your card lasts, because it won't get replaced. You get either a chance at replacement or a slighter chance at a rebate.

Other Thoughts: This was the first and LAST purchase I will ever make with Zotac or any of its subsidiaries it may be affiliated with. Absolutely terrible customer service, I spoke with two representatives and one online-chat representative, and out of those three people nobody could seem to get anything done, or even cared to. They don't care.

Manufacturer Response:

Hi ga5tly,

I apologize if you experienced problems with the rebate process. Please send me an email at with the details of your experiences and I will investigate further.

2 out of 5 eggsGood card, bad company

Pros: Relatively quite. Very good performance for a price range (when rebate applied). I'm getting 6.2 Windows Experience points for gaming graphics and 5.3 points for graphics.

Cons: I can't even register the card on the manufacture's website. I keep getting messages that this serial number doesn't exist. Phone calls do not help. There is no way to get a rebate for this card.

Other Thoughts: It would be a solid 5 star card for around $10-25 dollars with rebates. But the manufacture made a rebate process too painful. My card is going back to NewEgg.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear customer,

I apologize for the problems you have experience with our product registration process. Feel free to contact me at with the details of your product registration information and I will attempt to resolve the issue for you. Thank you.
