2 out of 5 eggsDied at 25 months

Pros: Was a good card for the money.
Worked fine until the day it died.

Cons: Died for no apparent reason at 25 months.
I expect longer life than that (48+ months).

5 out of 5 eggsGreat video card

Pros: Excellent video card with a surprisingly low purchase price. The just released Sony Vegas Pro 11 flies with this card where previous versions used to crawl, all that thanks to the 96 CUDA, v. 2.1, built into this card. Unlike most video cards, this one only requires one slot on the motherboard, so I was able to use the slot next to it for something else. It only uses 49 Watts of power, which is very nice.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Whoever said it does not support HDMI sound, you need to go to the sound configuration in your Windows Control Panel and select HDMI as the output of your sound. This is true for any HDMI supporting video card, not just this one.

5 out of 5 eggsCheap

Pros: Great price, with rebate it's a steal, quiet, stays pretty cool under load.

Cons: Not all that powerful, software that comes with it is garbage.

Won't take eggs off for that though since it does what it's supposed to do and I didn't expect it to part the red sea for me or anything.

Other Thoughts: Bought this for my girlfriend, works pretty well for mmos and older titles without a hitch (bioshock 2 at full settings no problems). It's not amazing but it can handle older stuff and wouldn't be a bad choice for someone with an almost nonexistent budget. Saw some bad reviews for this card but took a chance and it worked fine, no issues, I guess there's always a few duds in a big pile though.

2 out of 5 eggsNO SOUND

Pros: The video part works great.

Cons: I had very good video card, but it had only DVI ports, and I learn HDMI port has both audio and video signal so I want to get good sound through HDMI port. I have ONKYA receriver which has 2 inputs and 1 output, which works great with my blu ray player and Dish receiver. But when I connect my PC outlet it pass through the Video, but there is no audio. I did every thing checking setting etc. on receiver and on PC. I bought new roxio cineplayer software, thought my old PowerDVD may be not sending the sound etc. But it did not work. I do not get any sound through HDMI port. I hope manufacturer reply and tell me what to do have sound through my HDMI port.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear customer,
I'm sorry to hear that you are experiencing problems getting audio through your HDMI connection. It may be possible that you need to set the default audio device through NVidia High Definition Audio. Also, make sure that you have the latest driver updates for the ZT-40602-10L. If the problem persists, I highly recommend that you contact our technicians directly at or visit our forums. Thank you for writing, and once again I apologize for the inconvenience.

1 out of 5 eggsVery buggy card

Pros: small size
low power consumption

Cons: card is very buggy. Even after installing the most up to date drivers I keep getting found new hardware message. The video aspect works but not the sound aspect. Occasional freezes on video streaming and can not recover accept to reboot. would like to return card for a refund but I sent in for the rebate. I hate rebates. How fair is it to void a warranty because of a rebate?

Other Thoughts: Will never buy Zotac again. Went back to my old 7600gt. And put the new card in the drawer.

Manufacturer Response:

I apologize about you have a bad experience with our card. You may need a SPDIF cable connected to you video card to your motherboard or 3rd party sound card. Update drivers may help too. The Card should still be covered under our 2 years limited warranty (Limited Lifetime Warranty if registered within 30 days of purchase). Please check our website at for more details about our warranty policy. Or contact our Tech Support at

1 out of 5 eggsBad experience

Pros: Never got it to work, so none.

Cons: First card came DOA. Was somewhat disappointed, but thought I'd give it another chance. RMA'd it, second card came DOA. Going to return this one for a refund.

Other Thoughts: After receiving two of these cards DOA, I figured I'd be better off sticking to a different brand. I didn't plan on spending a month an a half just trying to upgrade what I already had.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: I use this VGA card in a PC that plugs into my Sony receiver, via HDMI. I love having Dolby True HD and DTS HD audio (192 KHz) audio. I love 1080p on my near 50" Sony LCD running at 60Hz. I coupled this with a Pentium-D 945 3.4Ghz CPU and can play Flight Simulator X with the Graphics turned up to Ultra-High. It is smooth, sounds wonderful, and it has breathed new life into an XP based machine.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I'm not much of a gamer anymore but I used to be and now I just love rich detailed audio and this card brings out all the sounds in my audio files. I am able to hear more detail from Windows media player than I haver ever heard before. It is a real joy to listen to my audio collection at 192 KHz. My audio files are in the lossless WMA format.
