5 out of 5 eggsWorking fine.

Pros: Good performance and decently built. Quiet. Installed easily. DVI->VGA adapter and 2x Molex->PCI-e 6-pin power adapter included. Uses standard NVIDIA drivers.

Cons: Mail in rebates are a hassle and the plastic shroud around the fan is a bit flimsy.

Other Thoughts: I bought this mainly for Folding@Home's GPU client to run on. Much faster than the Geforce 8300 built into my ASUS motherboard.

Also, as is common with video cards, the drivers on the CD are outdated. I'd recommend going to NVIDIA's website and downloading the latest version.

3 out of 5 eggsStill waiting on Rebate

Pros: Decent card, good for gaming. Totally beats out the integrated chipset that came with my HTPC board. A bit hot for a HTPC. This definitely brought up the noise level even at idle, not to mention the power usage. This is not the card's fault though. So I cannot list that in the cons section.

Cons: The "Rebate". I purchased this card in July, it is now December. Well you can guess that since I am putting this in the Cons block, I still have not received my rebate. The company that they use, performs this trick. After you register on the website, they have you send in the paperwork in the mail. Which they take a good 4-6 weeks to acknowledge that they have received the paperwork, then they send you an email telling you that it will take an additional 4-8 weeks for them to send you the rebate. So if the rebate is what is pushing you towards this company... I am still waiting for my $30 that I paid taxes on and stamps. That pretty much leaves me with saying that the rebate is a scam so far.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Ordered with rebate offer. Purchased 7/11 got my rebate end of 9/11. Cost with rebate is what sold me on this card.

Cons: For just a few bucks more you can get a GTX 460.

Other Thoughts: Using card in a HTPC. Also use it for casual gaming on the couch. Has run everything I have thrown at it on high settings. Has worked flawlessly for me in the few months I've owned it.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Value

Pros: Very Easy Install. Quite. Runs everything I throw at it and never gets warm. Does everything I need. I needed a low cost video card that would drive dual 24" monitors at a decent resolution. I'm not a gamer, so high end and expensive cards were not needed. I do a lot of Visio and detailed drawings. Works great for this.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Download the latest drivers from the site.

5 out of 5 eggs7.4" wonder card

Pros: Tiny footprint, comes pre-overclocked and with decent Zotac OC/fan control utility Firestorm (though not necessarily well named)

Cons: PWM but an speed max locked at 70%

Other Thoughts: I am amazed that I continue to find mid-range video cards that come in under 8 inches! I have a Pentium3-era micro tower (Batman) that cannot take a motherboard or VGA card over 8" deep due to the way it swings closed. I found a sweet Asus/AMD unlocker uATX board that turns my Phenom II X3 710 into a four core monster that even allows a bit of an overclock. It fits inside, keeps cool enough and now I have a DX11 card to go with it. My 3DMark Vantage score with the CPU running at quad 2.8GHz was 11746, averaged after 3 passes. Due to the compact nature of Batman, this card gets up into the 80's (Celsius) but has been stable, so far. It is my second Zotac card and I have had perfect success with the other one (a 9800 GT), so I hope I go 2 for 2. I have had good luck with several cards from their sister company Sapphire, so it's all good.

1 out of 5 eggsYou get what you pay for

Pros: Hard to say anything positive when I am so disappointed by this card. I was suckered in by what seemed like a great price. After all this wasted time, I should have paid twice as much for a card that actually works.

Cons: You get what you pay for - and in this case, I'm a sucker.

Figured I would take a chance on Zotac (never hear of them before) and 3 weeks later, I now regret this choice immensely.

Countless hours of my life I will never get back troubleshooting driver errors. Win7 Pro (64 bit) either locks-up mid log-on or monitor goes black (as if the card is pushing a refresh rate or resolution the monitor doesn't support.) Boot into Safe mode, unintsall Nvidia 270.61 driver and computer boots just fine using Windows' generic VGA driver. Even setting BIOS boot options on mobo (Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3P) to fail-safe and trying older Nvidia drivers doesn't help.

Been building my own rigs since 1998 so I like to think I have at least half of a clue.

Too bad I was so eager to submit the rebate on this, otherwise it would be RMA.

Live and learn. I will never touch anything Zotac again.

Other Thoughts: Have I tried Zotac's warranty process or their website? Nope. I'm done. Tired of wasting time and spinning my wheels.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat improvement over a 9800

Pros: Very fast card compared to my 9800GT. almost double in rendering using Badaboom. Not a power hog that I can see and the fan is quieter than my 9800 was.

Cons: None to speak of.

Other Thoughts: Wish I'd have paid a bit more for a 460 or higher. I got this to increase my frame rates in video rendering using Badaboom and was very pleased with the performance.
