1 out of 5 eggsHorrible Rebate Service

Pros: PCI and support low profile brackets.

Cons: Bought this from an authorized local store and sent rebate.

However, never heard anything from zotac and it has been 5 months.

I bet there i no way to reclaim it or find my rebate process in the system.

On top of that, they are lack of online rebate register which makes worse. (Wish I had been aware of this fact before I made the purchase!!)

Would never bother purchasing from zotac and avoid!!

Manufacturer Response:

Hello,

Please email lee@zotacusa.com with your full name, email submitted during the time of the rebate submission, and the serial number of the product you were applying for. I will gladly check up on the status for you.

Thanks.

5 out of 5 eggsKeeping an old system alive!

Pros: Dx10/Vista/Win 7 compatible, nVidia technologies supported, newer video technology on PCI bus.

Cons: 64-bit RAM interface, passive heatsink.

Other Thoughts: Using this to upgrade my parents' computer (socket 939 AMD dual-core, Via-based AGP motherboard).
Upgraded from a Geforce 6600GT to this card, system is running Vista Home Premium 64-bit.
The improvement in handling the Aero desktop and web media was immediate.
Since Via made such poor AGP chipsets, stepping "down" to the PCI bus really wasn't a performance loss.
The latest nVidia drivers installed with no problem and the card took right off and performed beautifully!
If you need an extra video output and only have PCI slots available, you could hardly do better than this card!

1 out of 5 eggsDOA

Pros: If the card worked it would make a good 3rd and 4th monitor hookup.

Cons: Card 1: DOA
Card 2: DOA
Card 3: Waiting on shipment

Not happy with the manufacture at this point, I expect my hardware to work when i get it and if the 3rd card comes DOA i will just return it and order a different card and never order another card from this manufacturer.

Other Thoughts: At this point I am only giving it a 1 Egg if i actually get a working card i will rate it higher.

Manufacturer Response:

Hi Mike,

Two cards DOA is quite odd. If it may be that all the products are working, it might boil down to some kind of incompatibility. If you could please email me at juliette@zotacusa.com and give me your full name, along with a description of the issue you're facing, I will try to help you figure out what is going on.

Thanks,
Juliette

1 out of 5 eggsIs This What I Can Expect?

Pros: PCI

Cons: Not even tried it yet. This was not purchased at Newegg. But where it was purchased is not important. Zotac has lousy customer service.

Other Thoughts: I refuse to install this card if I can't register on the manufacturers website. I ordered it a week ago and have been trying ever since then to register so that I could register the card when it arrived. It arrived today and i STILL have not been able to get an account set up.

I gave it one egg simple because the company seems to not care one way or the other about getting customers registered.

As far as I can see, their customer service just plain out sucks. I emailed a rep and he assured me that he woudl take care of it. Helloooooo? IT HAS NOT BEEN TAKEN CARE OF, AND ITS BEEN OVER A WEEK.

No registration to register the warranty, no installation. The card will be sent back.

Manufacturer Response:

Hi CB,

Who did you speak to in customer service? I would like you to email me at juliette@zotacusa.com so that I can make sure you get a response to get your product registered as soon as possible.

Apologetically yours,
Juliette

5 out of 5 eggsBest PCI card out there!

Pros: Price!
Performance!
HDMI!

Cons: non

Other Thoughts: I have two older system that use PCI. One had a FX5200 the other had on-board. The on-board video died and I needed a card. Seeing as the Zotac GT 520 is the same price as all the 6200 etc. it was a no brainer to buy it. Compared to the FX5200 this car is incredible.

If you have an older system with only PCI look no further than this card :) On sale it was $59.99.

4 out of 5 eggsMight not fit - watch out!

Pros: Card looks to be well made, but I could not install it due to fit problem. I really wanted a fanless card with dual-link DVI support in 2560x1600 resolution - this card meets these requirements. But the heat sink wraps over the top of the board and extends out on the BACK side of the printed circuit board. This prevents use of the next adjacent PCI slot. With only two PCI slots on my small form-factor computer, there was no option to move to another slot.

Cons: The heat sink wraps over the top of the board and extends out on the BACK side of the printed circuit board. This prevents use of the next adjacent PCI slot.

Other Thoughts: New Egg has amazing customer service. They provided absolutely effortless RMA and even offered to cover the return shipment (which I feel is not fair to New Egg since they did not cause the problem for which I am returning the card)

5 out of 5 eggsNice for Rift MMORPG!

Pros: Blew away my 9500GT PCI! Now my server can function as a gaming machine when I'm not web programming.

Cons: Heatsink is rather large as everyone said.

Other Thoughts: Just get it!

4 out of 5 eggsCompatible Intel Atom Motherboards

Pros: Solid Construction, Low profile, Massive heatsink keeps this fanless card cool. Runs well under Ubuntu 11.10

Cons: May not work on all older systems.

Other Thoughts: Further to my previous post I found two Intel Atom boards which run well with this card. They are the Intel D510M0 and the D525MW. Both are mini ITX form factor. The D525MW pulls between 45 and 60 watts depending on how hard the Zotac video card is working.

3 out of 5 eggsIncompatible with some Intel MB

Pros: Well engineered, strongly constructed card with massive heatsink. Heavy metal and angle bracket makes this card stronger than most. Kudos to Zotac for offering PCI cards which allow CUDA upgrades for servers and older systems. Fit and finish was outstanding as well as Zotac's packaging.

Cons: Unfortunately this card did not work in the system I had purchased it for. I could not get the ZT-50610-10L to work with my intel D201GLY motherboard. The card appeared to be dead on POST, not a flickr. It was not recognized in the BIOS. Same with my Intel DH61WW motherboard. However it did work perfectly with a Gigabyte H61M-D2P-B3 motherboard. Both of the Intel motherboards would recognize older Nvidia and ATI video cards in the PCI slot so I think there is a firmware problem with the Zotec card.

Zotac could probably fix this problem with a few firmware adjustments to their card.

Other Thoughts: Kudos to Zotac for offering beautifully crafted ,innovative products that no other manufacturer offers. I'll keep the card and probably Zotac will offer a firmware upgrade that will get it working. Zotac support, if you are listening, can you offer any suggestions?
