5 out of 5 eggsGood for my needs

Pros: I have put a number of these cards into business desktops over the past couple of years. No failures, and with no fan they are silent. They work great with 2 DVI monitors. Plenty powerful enough for office use.

Cons: I haven't come across any cons; the large cooler means you lose a slot, but these days I don't really add anything other than a video card to a business desktop so I don't mind that.

Other Thoughts: I've mostly been putting these into Dell Vostro and Optiplex mini towers, and they have been great.

2 out of 5 eggshdmi buggy

Pros: *cheap
*large heat sink
*no fan

Cons: *uselessly buggy hdmi
*micro hdmi jack
*adapter for hdmi not included

Other Thoughts: worked well using dvi, but once the micro hdmi cable i had to buy just for this card came in i realized that the hdmi was 6 kinds of buggy. about twice a minute it will drop the signal to my tv. If you only need it for dvi then it works well and is fairly cheap but running it on a tv is a no go. the behavior was similar in win7 and ubuntu 13.04/12.10(nvidia 310). I cant speak to the return/support process as i havent tried yet.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: >Best bang for your buck
>Handles most things you can throw at it - short of games
>DVI & Dual-link DVI means you can pump out to three monitors if you so desire

Cons: >Heat sink is a bit bulky (but hey, no fan. what did you expect?)

Other Thoughts: This card was purchased for use in a Radio Station computer. The key with this computer was silence, and that is what this card accomplishes. The heat sink isn't as much of a dust magnet as I thought it was going to be - in fact, it's hardly at all. This card handles pretty much anything you throw at it, except any kind of "intensive" games. It'll render 1080p at 60fps, but it won't play Starcraft or LoL at any meaningful resolution (that was actually part of the intention of selecting this card).
It has been in non-stop 24/7 use for over a year now (aside from a weekly computer restart), with absolutely no issues.

If you're building an HTPC (or computer for a radio station), this is the card you are looking for. Small, no noise, renders all your videos, pumps out with DVI or HDMI - all the boxes are checked. If you're building a gaming computer, look elsewhere (you should have started with something more powerful than an GTX x50, let alone a GTX x10 series to begin with).

Or, if you're just looking to build a "Facebook and MS Word" machine, this will get the job done quite nicely and should be on your short list.

2 out of 5 eggsCard works

Pros: It functions as it should and the price is right for what it is.

Cons: I don't like Zotac's customer service. I hope I don't have any problems. I bought 5 of these and wish I had bought GIGABYTE or EVGA.

Other Thoughts: This situation made me mad enough I may list all of them and buy something else.
Don't buy Zotac only for the rebate.

Manufacturer Response:

Please email with your full name, email submitted during the time of the rebate submission, and the serial number of the product you were applying for. I will gladly check up on the status for you.

3 out of 5 eggsBad Windows Vista drivers!

Pros: Quiet. Drivers are buggy!!! Otherwise, not sure what to say. My 3 year old card with fan, same price, scored 4.7 in Windows performance. This one scored 4.6.

Cons: Very buggy drivers. I've been through 3 updates, and problems shift from black screens, to sudden death (reboot required).

Other Thoughts: This card may be good in 2013, but stay away from it until then.

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: None

Cons: Only one of the dvi ports will support dual link, so it cannot run two 30" monitors.

Manufacturer Response:

Have you tried using both DVI ports or one of the DVI port and the HDMI port to run a dual monitor setup?
