5 out of 5 eggsNOT FOR VIDEO

Pros: Got this card for BOINC computing. The picture quality is very good. The compute rating is 2.1, and that is excellent for a card at the sell price.

Cons: NONE

Other Thoughts: Wish it had more shaders in it.

4 out of 5 eggsZotac Geforce GTX 550 Ti

Pros: Fantastic performance overall. i used to have a Great yet puny 4650 512MB graphics card which handled most of my games at a reasonable resolution but with everything on low low low. after i got this card almost everything can be maxed out with few exceptions but that's most likely because of my aging rig so i cant blame the card. It never gets to overheated. and works beautifully in both Linux Ubuntu & Windows 7 for anything including gaming on both.

Cons: No deal breakers at all but a few things that annoy me

i cant use the pci port under the one express port i have because it would block the fan of the graphics card which really is more my motherboards con than this card but none the less it still annoyed me that i had to lose my internal wifi.

it says its minimum recommended power supply is 400 but i honestly wouldn't go under 600 just to be safe. i specifically upgraded my power supply to a 600 when i got this card because i only had a 430W which was dying on me anyways.

Mini-HDMI, i get that it was done to save space on the board but they could have at least packaged an adapter with it, they included a DVI to VGA adapter so why not mini to standard HDMI?

this seems to be Nvidia in generally because my netbook has the same problem, but when i cable out through HDMI it never quite fits the screen properly without a little tweaking...and yes i always select the correct resolution.

Other Thoughts: That's about it, i'd gladly buy this card again should i build another computer. its a cheap and powerful graphics card that i don't see myself soon replacing. in fact i'll probably throw it into my next build.

4 out of 5 eggsPower hungry performer on a budget

Pros: It's cheap, it can run new releases on optimum/high gloss everything, and it seems stable enough. Far cry 3 looks amazing on this card. It will comfortably run games at max graphics well above 30fps.

Cons: I had a 500watt psu that fried within a day of use after installing this card. It was old, but was functioning fine until this guy came along. I certainly don't believe a 400watt would do it. I have a 600 installed currently and it seems acceptable.

Also, the fan housing is plastic. It doesn't seem like a big issue, but this card runs really hot. If you don't have a case that stays cool, this is not the card for you. If you do, this will game amazingly on a budget.

Other Thoughts: I'm doubtful of the longevity of this card, but I'm enjoying it for the time being. I have a backup radeon 5450 1gb that served me well until I purchased this. Graphics have never been of great importance to me, but performance has.

3 out of 5 eggsSo so

Pros: It works and running in SLI My WEI went from 7.3 to 7.8 so I guess for the price it is ok but the fan has to go.

Cons: Like others have stated..The fan on this card is LOUD..I have 4-120mm case fans plus the other Graphic card and power supply fan and the fan on this card drowns all the other fans out!!

Other Thoughts: If you buy this card make sure you buy a extra fan to reduce noise. If the fan was not loud I would have given it a 4 or 5 egg rating.

1 out of 5 eggscheap

Pros: Cheap.

Cons: Cheaply made plastic housing. Boosted windows score a whopping .1 rating and ran games worse then my MSI GTX 260. Fan was super loud! RMA'd ASAP.

1 out of 5 eggsUnstable - Bad Product

Pros: Price - But not when it takes 2 days to conclude that it should have never been released in it's unusable condition. Completely unstable.

Cons: Totally unstable card ... even after multiple fresh driver re-installs. Multiple Audio conflict efforts. Special underclocking software.

Other Thoughts: Complete waste of time. However my son now knows how to spend dozens of hours trouble shooting, researching, reinstalling and doing creative computer diagnostics.

Shame on Zotac for releasing such an unstable product.

1 out of 5 eggsRuns great but becomes unstable very quickly

Pros: Pros: Price is great. Fan runs alot quieter than my last 3d Card. Runs most modern games in medium settings just fine. Until 30 minutes....

Cons: The plastic case around the fan seems flimsy. Not a big fan of the Duke Nukem Forever game but its came free so really can't complain. After 30 minutes the card becomes very unstable and the driver constantly tries to reset itself.

Other Thoughts: This is more of an update on this card. After 20 days of use this card has shown to be quite unstable *(it has not been overclocked at all)* Not too happy about it.

5 out of 5 eggsBest Bang for the Buck!!!

Pros: Raised my Windows Experience Index from 6.5 using my nVidia 8600 GTS to 7.4. Best perforing card in it's price range ($79.99).

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Encoding a 44 minute HD video using CUDA on my 8600GTS with 32 CUDA cores took 1:32:22, but the Zotac ZT-50404-10L with 192 CUDA cores did it in 22:44. This was even faster than my Intel i7 3770k using Quick Sync which took 25:15.
