5 out of 5 eggsGreat little card.

Pros: Works great in a server. I have a ML370 G5 and it works great in it. Sure beats the built in 32mb integrated card provided with the board.

Cons: For my application, none.

Other Thoughts: Pretty solid little card. Just wanted it to play videos and minecraft on. This does this perfectly.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat upgrade to old system

Pros: A simple inexpensive upgrade to an old system. The system only has a 305 watt power supply so I was looking for something with lower power requirements and this card works fine. Very nice performance improvement. Using NovaBench the Video score went from 1 to 65 and the FPS from 6 to 212! Going from VGA to DVI cleaned up the display too. A definite thumbs up for this card.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: This is an older Dell Dimension 4700. I have USB and Ethernet PCI cards installed so this went into the bottom PCIe slot. Boot and install the drivers, worked great! The card stays cool even in the bottom slot.

4 out of 5 eggsHey it works

Pros: Solid performance with all the output options. I bought this for a video presentation machine when I needed to add a low quality second feed when all my x16 ports were taken. It turned out to work as well as my older existing x16 card, although I have't rated the performance.

Cons: Can't think of any

Other Thoughts: I originally bought a half height card unintentionally from the same manufacturer. It cost more and didn't come with sizing plates as this one did, yet it cost more. Buy this one instead.

5 out of 5 eggsnice little card

Pros: Doesn't require external power. Plug and Play with Windows 8. Can run dual monitors using only this card. Runs cool and quiet.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: Plugged it in, started the PC, Windows 8 downloaded and installed the current driver. Connected one monitor to DVI and another to VGA for dual monitor setup with extended desktop.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for PCIE-X1 requirements

Pros: I had recently purchased a motherboard with embedded Atom D2550 CPU onboard. The onboard Intel Graphics were based on PowerVR technology and were not enough for my Ubuntu Linux desktop. The Motherboard also only had 2 slots, one PCIE-X1 slot and a standard PCI slot. This little PCIE-x1 nvidia card ran perfect in this system, taking the tiny Intel Atom based system to a great dual monitor Ubuntu multitasking machine. whole machine maxes out at about 51watts durring benchmark tests.

Cons: None really.... not once you understand the specs and capabilities of such a card running in a PCIE-x1 slot.

Other Thoughts: Ive been using this system and video card for quite some some time now and have had no issues. And even though i have mine setup for linux I know for a fact that it runs fine in windows as well. At least I have fairly decent nvidia graphics running in my little motherboard. Did exactly what I wanted it to do.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: I needed this card for an HTPC that has a raid card installed in the only PCIE16 slot. At first I was worried that if the 1X interface would have enough bandwidth for 1080p video or if the GPU would have enough juice to decode it. The research I did indicated otherwise so I bought it. The card plays high def video and audio with hardware decoding enabled without even breaking a sweat.

I also found out after I bought it that not only is my decoder able to leverage CUDA but windows 7 media center can take advantage of Nvidia PureVideo as well.

Cons: After almost 2 years of 24/7 up time the fan has started to fail. It now makes an audible whirring noise. Not sure what to do just yet.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Alternative for Server Board

Pros: Low power. Quiet. Resolution. PCI x1. smooth video stream and playback.

Cons: None for my intended use

Other Thoughts: I decided to recycle my (server) Super Micro X8SIL-O, Celeron G1101 dual core, 8 GB of ram to the grandkids room. They use it for homework, videos, movies, and web surfing. The onboard Matrox wasn't cutting it so I installed this even though it runs at half the rated speed due to the x1 slot. Works perfect for their needs. They love the new speed of the system.

Running Edubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) with the latest NVIDIA Linux driver.

They were using an old (going on 14 years) AMD Socket 462 (socket A) that I sold to a guy looking for a stable retro gaming PC.

4 out of 5 eggsGood work video card

Pros: Cheap, works well with office applications

Cons: Some artifacting on a multi monitor setup - I am not convinced it is the card or the drivers. There may be some software running on Windows 7 causing this.

5 out of 5 eggs3 Monitors Up

Pros: Added to desktop that had an NVS300 with dual monitor system. This card worked like a charm I am now extending all 3 monitors and controlling in the NVidia control panel. Good drivers on CD and almost plug and play to get started. Win 7 x64.

Cons: So far none.

Other Thoughts: Not everyone needs more than 2 displays but if you do compatibility becomes a big issue. This configuration worked for me with a pretty complex video setup in my Dell Precision T5600.
