5 out of 5 eggsgreat cards!

Pros: I have a lot of customers who buy Dell Inspiron desktops... they have one PCI 16x slot and two PCI 1x slots... this card is great for when they want more than two monitors. I can slap two of them on the PCI 1x slots and get up to four monitors. For a business customer who wants to run spreadsheets, word processing, email and websites, they're great. Will they play games? not many... will they handle adobe photoshop? not very well... but they work great for their intended audience... business apps on multiple monitors. I buy a couple of these every month it seems here late.y

Cons: none assuming you're using them for what they're designed for...

1 out of 5 eggsDoesn't always work on all Windows 8.1

Pros: Good Price

Cons: Did not work on a older Windows 8.1 Machine. Does not state that on NewEggs product description. On Zotac web page, it does state Windows Vista, Windows 7, but does not state it will work on Windows 8 any place.

At start up, it would get a NMI hardware error. Talked to Zotac support, put no luck. Suggested trying it with a new install of Windows 8.1, but still didn't work in Client's machine. Tried it on another Windows 8.1 machine and it worked fine. Saw on line that others have had this issue as well.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Deal

Pros: great video card for my PowerEdge 840 that my work was throwing out - It works with Ubuntu, Mint and Fedora latest versions,,,I have not tried Windows as I do not use it at home,,,so not promising anything there- had an old dell soundcard and the video card picks audio up with no problems- hooked into my 46" tv and looks and sounds amazing though HDMII...you have to dl the latest ,run file with ..I got it to run by:
First, download the latest Nvidia drivers to a familiar location, such as Downloads. Log out of the account and press CTRL-ALT-F1 in order to bring up the terminal. Enter the following commands:

sudo service lightdm stop
cd ~/Downloads
sudo chmod a+x NVIDIA-Linux-x86-304.51.run
./ NVIDIA-Linux-x86-304.51.run

I would recommend Ubuntu as looks the sweetest though HDMI - the other distros..

Also, if you are installing Ubuntu on the PE 840 with or without this card - turn off "allow operating install" in bios- or worded similar...

but 8 g of memory and this med to low end server gets boosted to a home media machine,,,I will install SteamOS later when out of beta- have not tried yet- but sure it will look good with this card...also- I installed Wine and Diablo3 after finally figuring out how too- and it ran very smooth,,,doubt if games like Crisis will do well but- you get what you paid for....

Cons: none for the price- takes a little Linux knowledge to get driver down- but you can google your way though - and refer to my post

Other Thoughts: nice for the price- with Linux distros== not sure if windows works

5 out of 5 eggsGreat little card.

Pros: Works great in a server. I have a ML370 G5 and it works great in it. Sure beats the built in 32mb integrated card provided with the board.

Cons: For my application, none.

Other Thoughts: Pretty solid little card. Just wanted it to play videos and minecraft on. This does this perfectly.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat upgrade to old system

Pros: A simple inexpensive upgrade to an old system. The system only has a 305 watt power supply so I was looking for something with lower power requirements and this card works fine. Very nice performance improvement. Using NovaBench the Video score went from 1 to 65 and the FPS from 6 to 212! Going from VGA to DVI cleaned up the display too. A definite thumbs up for this card.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: This is an older Dell Dimension 4700. I have USB and Ethernet PCI cards installed so this went into the bottom PCIe slot. Boot and install the drivers, worked great! The card stays cool even in the bottom slot.

4 out of 5 eggsHey it works

Pros: Solid performance with all the output options. I bought this for a video presentation machine when I needed to add a low quality second feed when all my x16 ports were taken. It turned out to work as well as my older existing x16 card, although I have't rated the performance.

Cons: Can't think of any

Other Thoughts: I originally bought a half height card unintentionally from the same manufacturer. It cost more and didn't come with sizing plates as this one did, yet it cost more. Buy this one instead.

5 out of 5 eggsnice little card

Pros: Doesn't require external power. Plug and Play with Windows 8. Can run dual monitors using only this card. Runs cool and quiet.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: Plugged it in, started the PC, Windows 8 downloaded and installed the current driver. Connected one monitor to DVI and another to VGA for dual monitor setup with extended desktop.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for PCIE-X1 requirements

Pros: I had recently purchased a motherboard with embedded Atom D2550 CPU onboard. The onboard Intel Graphics were based on PowerVR technology and were not enough for my Ubuntu Linux desktop. The Motherboard also only had 2 slots, one PCIE-X1 slot and a standard PCI slot. This little PCIE-x1 nvidia card ran perfect in this system, taking the tiny Intel Atom based system to a great dual monitor Ubuntu multitasking machine. whole machine maxes out at about 51watts durring benchmark tests.

Cons: None really.... not once you understand the specs and capabilities of such a card running in a PCIE-x1 slot.

Other Thoughts: Ive been using this system and video card for quite some some time now and have had no issues. And even though i have mine setup for linux I know for a fact that it runs fine in windows as well. At least I have fairly decent nvidia graphics running in my little motherboard. Did exactly what I wanted it to do.
