will it work in a gateway sx2110g-uw308?

In short, yes it will work, as the motherboard supports pciex16, but it doesn't specify whether it's pcie 1.0, 2.0, or 3.0 which leads me to believe that it may be 1.0 because all in all, the computer you're wanting to put the graphics card in is extremely low end. All this means is that you won't get the most out of the graphics card and are really wasting money. The card is great for a home entertainment PC or even for a mobile gaming rig, but overall, it should be just fine compatability wise.

will this card work in my dell dimension 8400 with  XP ?

The Zotac website has driver downloads for 32 bit and 64 bit Windows XP, Vista, 7, and 8.

The Dell 8400 has 1 PCIe x16 slot so this will work. If you already have a video card (or other?) in the slot then it will need to be removed.

This particular card can be used in narrower cases as it comes with two half-height back plates. The top VGA connector is on a cable that connects to a second back plate. You will remove the existing back plate and replace it with the included half-height back plate that goes over the DVI and HDMI port.

To use this in a narrow case you will need a free slot next to the PCIe x16 (the long one) slot for the VGA connector.

It comes pre-assembled to the regular back plate that fits a standard size case.  If you don't need a half-height card, there may be better options.

I don't know fully about compatibility, but given your motherboard is not a old one, it should. It does look like there's a slot (dark blue and white) for this card to insert into. I got the picture of the motherboard on the Asus website by googleing your model. 
Make sure your tower has a slot also.
It comes with a CD to install Driver and clocking software.

Will this card work with a 300watt PSU?

It would work, but you would not get the best performances out of it. The minimum recommended psu by the manufacturer is 350. I work on computers for a living so I would recommend at least 450. Depending on what else you have in your machine 350 would be maxed out during a game or some movies(3d). A psu at 450 and up would give you better performance and longer life of your hardware.

How thick is this card? (so I know if it will fit next to the adjacent  card - I've only found specs on the web for height & length.)

Including the attached fan and housing it will easily fit in any slot of a motherboard which has standard spacing. It can get tight on the bottom most slot but it will fit. It's perhaps just slightly more than 1.25" across and designed to fit in a single slot.

Is this thus far the best low profile video card? I have an A6-3650 in a Silverstone Milo3 HTPC case  would it be better to just go with a 6670? or would this Nvidia card out perform that?

I know I was running a sapphire 5830HD and the Zotac is tons smaller. I'm running way cooler and I have much better graphics.

I am not sure if I pulled up the right specs, but the lenovo sharkbay motherboard does not have any expansion slots.  You can confirm this by looking at the back and verify if there are expansion slots available.  It requires the following slot, PCI Express 3.0 x16

Is this graphics card compatible with a IPIBL-LA motherboard?

I bought this card for use with a Dell 660, i5, with Win8.  I did a little research on the internet myself and found the GeForce 640 chip was compatible with this system.  The Zotac works very well.
