Question 1

I am currently using the graphics capability of the i5 processor in my computer. Would I see a boost in graphics performance or overall performance with this card?

If you are using your computer for any sort of graphics type of programs or games then you will notice an improvement in performance.  If you are using your computer for web browsing and productivity style software then you likely will not notice much if any improvement.  I like this card because of it's duel DVI sockets.  I believe there is a VGA signal on each socket though.  I also like that it is only 1 slot thick but it does make reaching the release tab a little bit of a trick.

Question 2

Will this card work with a DVI to VGA adapter?  Or would I be better off just using an HDMI to use this Video Card with a HDTV?

Not only will it work with a DVI to VGA adapter, it comes with one. My primary monitor is DVI, but my secondary is an old VGA I had lying around, and the ZT-60412-10L plays well with both. I can even open a VM and run Linux playing Youtube videos on one screen while a video game runs on Windows in the other and a screencasting program records the whole thing without any appreciable slowdown. (Which is probably a credit to my RAM as well, but VMs, videos, games, and screencaps all use the GPU.)

On the other hand, you're going to get better resolution (and likely a larger screen) with an HDTV, and DVI to HDMI is an easy conversion (although not one this card comes with an adapter for). Of course, since there's two DVI jacks on the board, there's no reason you have to choose between them, at least from a hardware standpoint. If you have both a VGA monitor and a TV available in the vicinity of your computer, I'd suggest hooking both up and using the monitor for, say, typing, browsing, and other mundane tasks it's better to be right in front of the screen for; and using the TV for watching movies and higher quality YouTube videos. (Given their lower resolution, lower-quality YouTube videos may well look better on the VGA monitor.)

How many of the connections can be used at once? i.e. Can this power three monitors simultaneously?
