Pros: Portable USB HD Tuner for great price ! Works great on my XP pro & Vista Business !

Cons: -Somewhat confusing installation, if user is a novice must read the installation instructions first
-Sometimes AverTV crashes on my XP when changing channels (then again all you need to do is simply run it again)

Other Thoughts: Much more affordable than Tivo! (of course you need to have a PC first :)

Pros: Great picture quality for such a small device, I'm running it on a Dell 6000 laptop, 1.8ghz pentium M with a clean install of windows xp home with sp3, with very little running in background. My cpu usage is around 35% for standard Def and 75% for High Def would not recomond going much slower than 1.8ghz. Rember the signal is sent in packets, packet loss resaults in frame freezes that look like your cpu is not keeping up, you have to check your cpu usage to be sure, cpumon.exe is a very good free one that shows average cpu usage, I don't use timeshift or record shows would probable be underpowered for that. Avermedia also allows you to save your location which is very handy sense I drive a semi "you don't have to rescan for channels which can take several minutes"
From what I've read on other feedbacks its not ready for 64 bit and still has issues with some windows Vista users but overall a great product with excellent picture quality in a very small form factor.

Cons: Rebate on this item was returned by bank, not only did I not get rebate but was charged fee by bank for returned check. Think something wrong with this company.

Better than nothing

Pros: - now I can watch live sports again!
- USB extension cord is a nice addition in cramped USB port space
- works with Windows Media Center or it's own software (eventually)

Cons: - extra install work for Vista x64 + MCE users
- included antenna is neither powerful enough or compact enough for real use
- disc with install apps/drivers/user manuals is worthless to Vista x64 users

Other Thoughts: This product is only as good as the antenna you hook it up to. Right now (in Minneapolis) I can get 3-4 channels with this product and a cheap indoor antenna.

I use Vista x64 with Windows Media Center and I made the mistake of installing the apps and data on the included disc. Don't do it! x64 owners will get the BSOD. Use the site newegg forwards you for software upgrades.

As I'm writing this, Vista x64 Home Premium works with the downloaded files:

App: A868_MCS.1.7.2.09020601_Drv_1.3.x.79.exe (the app for sure; I installed 'custom' and did not use the driver in this package)

Driver: A868R_AVer_Drv_x64_V1.3.64.79_Install.zip

So the product works, but it's overpriced for the mess you may have to go through to get it to work.

Works Great!

Pros: Fairly inexpensive way to watch free over the air HDTV on a PC. Works great in Windows 7 RC 64-bit after installing the 64-bit driver from Aver's website. Media Center recognized it with no problems and programmed all the local stations in my area. Image quality is excellent on my Dell 24" Widescreen Full HD monitor.

Cons: No remote control.

Tried it on Windows XP Pro with Aver's own Media Software but had a lot of freezes/crashes. I would only recommend using this product with a Media Center Edition of Windows.

Other Thoughts: The USB stick gets a little warm to the touch. The included antenna looks rather cheap but not a big deal since I'm using a pair of rabbit ears.
