Pros: Set-up was relatively painless in Vista Ultimate. Once isntalled though it simply works. Picture quality looks better than comcast on my 42" LCD. No issues with Vista Media Center. Really couldn't have asked for more.

Cons: Vista didn't recognize it off the bat. Went and dowloaded the drivers and as the started to install Vista seemed to take over the isntall. Not sure really what happened there but it's working and that's all I need to know.

Other Thoughts: No real bells or whistles here. I am using my xbox 360 as an MCE so I wasn't concerned with getting a remote or anything else. No need to really bother with getting analog broadcasts either. In many cases this would make an excellent second digital tuner!

Pros: Cheap Turner Card that works

Cons: No mpeg2 hardware encoder. Put a 30% to 40% load on the CPU

Other Thoughts: Really Nice to have Turner Card that just does HDTV.

Been using the A180 for a while now

Tech Level: high - Ownership: more than 1 year

Pros: It couldn't have been easier to set up. Really, plug it in and it works. The picture and audio recording quality are great. Windows Vista interfaces without any problems.

NOTE: I output video to the TV is through a graphics card that has an DVI output and audio goes to the stereo system.

Cons: This is a pretty big con and it's why I'm about to replace the last one. I have a channel (only one) that records very poorly. The vides jumps, but the audio doesn't. It's not due to signal strength. I've debugged the problem back to the decoder on the board.

Other Thoughts: I use this card in a custom-made media center computer that feeds my Toshiba HDTV.
I have an older version of this board (model 7 95522 95995 9), the one that has S-video and RCA-type inputs as well as cable. I've never used those inputs.
