Pros: Installed out of the box. Picture is clear, there are moments when you first change the channel that it seems the stream needs to buffer, but that happens on a regular television panel as well.
Cons: A little bit over an inch sticks out from slot. Program that comes included is out dated. Battery drains faster (as expected).
Other Thoughts: Windows media center has to be a requirement for you to enjoy this product as I have. Installed on Windows 7 x64, HP Pavilion dv2000. 2GB Ram.

Pros: Cheapish.
Cons: Cheap for a reason. Doesn't include hardware or software decoder, offloads everything to computer. Poor buggy software, outdated as delivered. Remote is not MCE certified. Documentation is poor. Crashes my computer regularly.
Other Thoughts: Can't see any advantage over a USB model, this will probably be going back for exchange with a quality product.

Pros: This is my second Hauppauge TV Device and I just ordered my third a 1950 Hybrid External USB box for my girlfriend's PC. The last purchase was based on the wonderful quality of the hardware of my first two purchases. Not to mention the picture quality produced. I'm Impressed, obviously! All were purchased from Newegg.
Cons: It seems to get a bit warm and I hope that does not affect its longevity. I used Hauppauge's drivers and Vista's Media Center with my lastest application. Their software [Hauppauge's] seems to not be of the same standard as their hardware. I used BeyondTV from SnapStream when I installed my first Hauppauge purchase into my Desktop PC.
Other Thoughts: I really like having TV on my PCs/Laptops I like the option of creating DVD's et cetera and it's nice to have the ability to watch TV as I work.
