Turn your PC into an HDTV with DViCO's DTV7 Dual Express TV tuner card. This advanced card plugs into an available PCIe-x1 slot so there is plenty of bandwidth for HD content. Dual tuners let you watch or record two shows at once. The Electronic Program guide makes scheduling recordings easy.
The included format converter lets you convert your recordings to XviD, DivX, DVD and MPEG-2 formats. This way you can archive favorite shows or burn them to a disk to take with you on vacation.
The kit comes with everything you need including a remote and an IR receiver. There is also low-profile bracket so you can install the card in slim PCs. Never miss a show again with the DTV7.
Pros: Excellent HD reception w/ cable Can easily record 2 shows at once Remote is well-laid out w/ lots of buttons Recording scheduler is really easy to use DTV ready for Feb 2009 Has one coax jack on the card but can record 2 channels through it Records shows in .tp format which are uncompressed and can easily fill up HD. 1 hour 480i recorded ~1 gig No driver problems in XP Pro SP2
Cons: Haven't figured out the picture in picture function but that isn't a big deal for me Included converter software sucks. Use AutoGordianKnot and it will convert it perfectly (freeware) Would've preferred the ability to open up the recording scheduler without having to load the main app
Other Thoughts: Don't use analog right now but it works when i tried it and pulled in more channels Actually bought it on another site back in July before Newegg had it (checked here first) For only ~$139 it's the best tuner you can get

Best Picture I've Seen
Reviewed By: rotary on 1/31/2009
Tech Level: high - Ownership: 1 month to 1 year
This user purchased this item from Newegg
Pros: Dual tunner using 1 coax input Can record 2 DIGITAL channels at the same time Basically plug and play w/Vista 64 Premium+Beyond Tv 4.9 Fusion 3.68 tunner software works fine for me Low profile Low heat
Cons: Fusion software only works w/fusion tunners (doesn't detect my Ati tunner) Can not record a analog and digital channels at the same time only two digital. Most motherboards have 1-2 PCI-Express x1 slots if any at all, wish it was just PCI for mutiple card (2+) setup.
Other Thoughts: I've been in this game for 3+ years and have tried many different tunners (ADS HD tunner, Ati HDTV tunner, Ati 650 Theater Pro) and this is best. The digital picture quality is the best I've seen (slightly better then the 650) and pulls at least the same amount if not more channels than the most sensitive tunner I've had. Not to mention you get two tunners in one small package.
For the life of me I don't understand why people give this tunner a bad review for not working well w/ WMC. Thats a software problem not a hardware problem. No where on the website does it say it will work w/Vista MC. Anyway, Vista 64 MC worked ok for me the problem is that it only pulls in 1/3 of the channels. Again a software problem!

Tech Level: somewhat high - Ownership: 1 month to 1 year
Pros: Features look awesome in paper, it supports Windows XP 64-bit and the image quality is good, and the smoothness of the image is good as weel with the new 3.81 software (Windows XP x64) and has a remote
Cons: The advertising in the web site is not totally truthful. The EPG guide actually does not work. I have Comcast expanded cable (I only receive the Free HD channels, NO decoder box) and the card is not capable to display the EPG guide. Aparently they need each channel to send the EPG information which does not happen in this case since it seems that Comcast trasmits the guide in a separate channel. However my Sony Bravia TV is capable to get this guide. At the begginging the video was very choppy and consume a lot of the computers resources. With the last upgrade of the software (3.81) quality video is perfect, PIP works perfectly as well (thought the PIP window is not refreshed in real time)
IN general I think this is a great hardware, with a very poor software, tech support is not very helpfull, their english is not good.

Great Turner
Reviewed By: Bruce in Wilson on 9/26/2009
Tech Level: high - Ownership: less than 1 day
Pros: This turner is great. Just upgraded from two seperate Fusion cards(3 and a 5) to this one. I was having reception problems, dropouts etc. But now with dual 7 turner all problems are cleared up. This card is installed an 32 bit Vista Medial Center PC that I built myself. I installed the newest software available at the Dvico web site.
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: I have had the other two fusion cards for many years. The Fusoin 3 was purchased back in 2003 and the fusion 5 was purchased back in 2005. These two cards did a great job of pulling in the OTA station until the digital transition back in June. We had a few stations here in central NC that drop their power. I believe the dropouts was mostly cause by these drops in power by the local stations. The Fusion Dual 7 HDTV is more sensitive in pulling in these weaker signals.

Works great in Windows 7 x64
Reviewed By: Eric on 9/24/2009
Tech Level: high - Ownership: 1 week to 1 month
This user purchased this item from Newegg
Pros: Overall, this is a very good dual digital tuner. I have had a great experience recording and watching live TV - sometimes doing both at once. It comes with a remote, which is very convenient. It works great in Windows XP 32-bit and Windows XP x64.
Cons: Tweaking it to work in Linux is a nightmare. No matter what I did, I could not get the remote to work. I also had to use new v4l-dvb drivers rather than the ones included in the kernel to get the device to work. It did work great without the remote in Linux after that, though, but the remote spoiled me.
On some programs, I have noticed it tuning the picture brightness without doing anything. Sometimes, it will progressively darken. Also, the quality of the picture is still better when watching the TV through its tuner as opposed to through this tuner.
