1 out of 5 eggsWorthless!

Pros: None

Cons: Purchased to pick up over the air digital television on our PC. Our regular antenna, located about 10 ft from the Kworld antenna picks up over 20 stations. This products antenna picked up zero.

Other Thoughts: I did a little research and it seems KWorld keeps spitting out the same junk, just under a new model number. The reviews on their products are always the same - poor to mediocre. I should have listened and save myself $40.

1 out of 5 eggsNever worked right.

Pros: None.

Cons: Never worked right. The only thing that worked was the radio channels which was not desired. Never recognized tv channels. Had two IT professionals troubleshoot to no resolution. Garbage.

2 out of 5 eggsNot good

Pros: Small and portable

Cons: Doesnt work well. I can only pick up a few channels and the whole time the signal cuts out every few seconds. Audio is far behind. I have tried several antennas and a few different programs. no luck

Other Thoughts: Spend more money and get a PCI/PCIe1 interface tuner.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Easy to install and it works great.

Cons: The included software (Total Media 3.5)

Other Thoughts: I bought one of these about 6 months ago and recently got a second computer so I bought another one.

It is rare when a Microsoft free product is better than that included with a device, but it sure is in this case.

When you install, my advice is to uncheck the Total Media check box and not install it. Use Windows Media Center, which is probably already on your computer, instead.

Media Center is MUCH more complete and and it seamlessly transitions from analog to digital signals (if you're connected to basic cable this is a must).

The Total Media package included will show the digital channel your TV knows as 3.1 as 125 or some such thing, and you must manually select which tuner you want to watch (digital or analog). With Media Center channel 3.1 shows up as 3.1, and it knows which tuner which channels are one, so manual switching is unnucessary.

4 out of 5 eggsNice. But don't use the antenna or software.

Pros: Works fine with a good antenna or other connection and Windows Media Center.

Cons: The included software and antenna are worse than worthless.

Other Thoughts: If you're hooking this up to a cable connection or good antenna it works well. The included software should probably be classified as malware, but if you use Windows Media Center that isn't an issue. The antenna included is horrid and when I tried that on this unit and my HDTV it couldn't pick up a thing.

Overall, I'm satisfied with this unit. But know that going in you aren't going to be using the included software and you'll need some better way of connecting to the world than the included antenna.

3 out of 5 eggsKWorld

Pros: Doesn't get hot. Easy to use with Orb through Cable

Cons: Can't get Digital Cable signal to run through Windows Media Center or Orb.

Other Thoughts: I have tried just about everything to get the digital signal to work. I really researched what Tuner to get so I could get both Analog and Digital from my cable plug. It shows the channels in WMC but says they are not working. None of the KWorld website drivers fixed this issue. 3 Eggs at most.

1 out of 5 eggsDon't buy it

Pros: It's easy to plug in.
Good signal when it works.

Cons: Everything else.

When I first plugged it into my desktop I immediately got a blue screen, my desktop no longer recognizes it even after uninstalling and reinstalling the software.

I plugged it into my laptop, it recognized it, and it got a good signal.

I've had the product for a little over a month and I don't think I've gone more than a day without having my system blue screen because of this device. It's a brand new laptop that runs just fine as long as I don't have this plugged in or running.

I've tried using the drivers that came with it, I've also tried the drivers online, neither make a difference.

The kworld site is a pain to navigate. There doesn't seem to be any sort of support form or troubleshooting information, and there's no way to directly contact their support. Their link for RMA is broken, even if that link wasn't broken I would have to pay to ship the item to them to fix.

Other Thoughts: I'm running windows 7 64 on my desktop and laptop.

I would not recommend this, or any KWorld product to anyone. It's 2012 and they should really have at least some basic online trouble shooting or support.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat tuner, Good price!

Pros: Great picture in QAM Terrestrial (antenna for over the air broadcast). Easy to setup. Good picture connected to my analog basic cable. The remote works good for me, but I am not using it from across the room, it is plugged into my secondary gaming pc which is 90 degrees away to my left side and maybe 4 feet away. Package came with a multi- input cable for capturing video from legacy devices (s-video and AV).

Cons: No real cons to speak of, see my other thoughts.

Other Thoughts: Could not get this thing to recognize my basic cable service, until I downloaded the latest drivers from kworld website. That is just a basic tech mistake on my part to not just grab the latest drivers from the website instead of using the included install disk drivers. I would recommend installing the driver from kworld website and just use windows media center instead of installing the software from the kworld cd. This will save you alot of headache.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat within limits

Pros: Easy to install and set up, included software is easy to configure.

Cons: Can't use it with Windows Media Center, have to install as Video Capture rather than TV Tuner.

Other Thoughts: We connected this to our cable box and use the box to change channels. It works great but the tuner has to be installed as a video capture device instead of installing it as a "TV Tuner". This means we have to use the isntalled software instead of WMC, but the included software works fine and is easy to configure. Doesn't leave a lot of options and can only digitally record the channel you're on, i.e., one channel at a time.

2 out of 5 eggsStick with Hauppauge

Pros: Cost. Install was easy with WMC. Just downloaded the drivers from Kworld website.

Cons: Cannot get any major channels with this tuner. The best signal strength I can get in WMC is 3 out of 5 bars. I have a Hauppauge tuner connected to the same PC using the same antenna, and I get the 4 major networks, which is all I ask for. Didn't have another PCIe slot for another Hauppauge, so this was the next best solution that came with an FM tuner. Got it for $30. On the fence whether it is worth it to RMA.

Other Thoughts: Maybe if you are really close to a tower and get awesome signal strength, this may be fine. It seems any antenna or tuner is extremely hit-or-miss depending on location.
