Pros: Cheap, comes with a cable with 4 pin at one end and 6 pin on the other. Card has one 4 and one 6 pin extenal port. No driver disk. It uses via chipset and driver is built into Windows. Works great with recent Mandriva and Ubuntu.
Cons: No cons.

Pros: Small and compact, the card is plu-and-play easy. On my computer, Windows recognized it as soon as it booted up, and I was importing video from my camcorder within minutes. The included 6 to 4 pin FireWire cable is excellent, as well since most camcorders do not include such a cable.
Cons: None.
Other Thoughts: A very good deal.

Pros: 1. Low profile. Comes with both regular and low-profile brackets.
2. Plug and play in Windows 7 (64bits). Driver automatically installed.
3. Firewire cable included.
4. Good value.
Cons: Not any.
Other Thoughts: This card comes with decent package and well-built PCB. It does not really look cheap.

Pros: plug 'n play on an Arch Linux based OS
Cons: I'd prefer a header on the card for front pannel firewire port(s) instead of an internal 'A' connector.
Other Thoughts: Chipset was VIA VT6306 and NOT the VT6307 that is pictured. It does not matter to me though.

- Plugged in my camcorder and it worked
- Cheaper than upgrading to a MOBO with firewire built in
Cons: Had to pay for shipping.
Other Thoughts: Does what it says. I run XP-SP3 and no problems at all.
