Rosewill 2+1 Port Firewire/1394a Low-Profile PCI Card (Cable Bundle) Model RC-501

Pros: Simple, compact, and inexpensive. It also has each type of connector. The 6 pin and 4 pin mini.

Cons: The internal connector isn't a header, it's another jack. So I can't connect my case's front jack to it. I'm not sure what situation exactly where you'll have a external type of fire wire cable running through the inside of your machine.

Pros: I have used this card for almost two years now and it has worked flawlessly.

Cons: None.

Pros: I plugged it in and it was recognized immediately for windows 7. I can now import footage at my house.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Best deal for a fire wire port

Pros: Works with Mac OS X 10.6.8 and Windows 7 64 bit w/o drivers. Just plug & play. Included universal firewire cable, which is useful

Cons: No

Pros: None for me.

Cons: Don't waste your time if you have windows 7, there is NO support for it. The OS recognizes the card, but not the device plugged in to it. Tech support couldn't help me either, so I guess I'm stuck with it.

Pros: I couldn't tell you, it didn't work, but at least it was cheap.

Cons: This card barely fit in my case, but when I got it loosely in my computer my Windows 7 PC didn't recognize it at all. I looked around the internet for drivers and didn't find any. I removed it and put it back in at least 4 times, just in case, and it didn't work any time.

Other Thoughts: I hope I can get this working, I'll happily change my review if I can.

Pros: - Inexpensive
- Solid build quality
- Plug and play in Windows 7 or Hackintosh

Cons: - None so far

Other Thoughts: If you have old firewire perhiperals that you still intend to use (cameras etc) on a new mobo with no 1394 ports, pick this up.

Pros: Great

Other Thoughts: I use it with an older Camcorder. No problems.

Pros: cheap

Cons: doesnt work with video camcorders

Pros: Installed it on a 4 year old Dell running Windows 7 32 bit version. Installation was so fast I didn't see it, and had to spend some time verifying it. Included cord worked fine also. No problems and no dropped frames as I transferred a test movie to the PC.

Cons: I took the cheapest mailing option, and the bubble wrap mailer took a small beating. The product box was fine, and the product was fine.
