2 out of 5 eggsA really horrible product

Pros: I'll give it 2 eggs for basically doing what it was supposed to...but not much more than that

Cons: I was able to sortof watch TV on my WinXP computer for a while, but the software packaged in with it was Windows ME terrible. I mean this thing was BAD. On a Core 2 Duo with 8 GB of ram, it crawled like Crysis on an EeePC. Took forever to decode a signal, and was generally a horrible pain to work with. Doesn't seem to work at all with Windows 7.

Other Thoughts: Don't buy it. DO NOT BUY. Buy a pile of brownies instead - you'll be MUCH happier.

1 out of 5 eggsHorrible Fail

Pros: None

Cons: Jitter in picture/interlacing, Terrible 'tinty' audio. looks, sounds, and tunes (slower in acquiring channel) worse than the older 550 PCI cards. Does not work in Canada region with Win Vista/Win 7 Media Center.

Other Thoughts: Avoid at all cost. This tuner is terrible.
I would return but rather sell to someone and take the loss instead of losing it to the ridiculous overhead and restocking fees at this site. I have a feeling I am stuck with this waste of plastic though.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks like a charm

Pros: Worked right out of the box. HD was crisp. Installation was a breeze. Price is fair to market value. It does exactly what it claims to do without any tricks or bugs.
I can watch HDTV on my PC with live pause and record features. Using the built in DivX codec I can burn DVD's.

Cons: Their remote is not that great, and neither is their media software. But you don't need either. I use Windows Media Center and the remote that came with it. Works much better.

Other Thoughts: Honestly, this was surpising easy and successful. I plugged it in, popped in the installation disk, and Tada! I would recommend against using their media program but thats minor. Windows found the hardware, pulled the drivers off the Installation Disk. After a reboot, I went into Media Center and ran setup, and was watching HDTV within 15 minutes. Pause, Autorecord, everything works like a charm. I have Vista on a 64bit bit processor, 4 gigs of ram and a top of the line video card (also ATI). Maybe it has issues with out-of date comps, but I have used it with no problems and have advised my friends to use it.

Great Product :-D

2 out of 5 eggsGood Luck...

Pros: - Has two tuners. This function is designed because: 1) the majority of people have cable, 2) HD OTA is the best, easiest and cheapest solution for most. One tuner (NTSC/Cable) is for regular (SD) TV, the 2nd is for (ATSC aka HD-OTA). It's meant to be an easy solution, but some people have complained about this fact - saying a hybrid tuner would have been preferred. They've missed the point.

Cons: - Claims Vista compatibility, even an additional function (Clear QAM). Vista wouldn't even register this was plugged in for me.
- Software is terrible and unreliable.
- Sometimes it works with a system sometimes it doesn't. I've tried this on a multiple of systems and re-installing a number of times. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't.
- For some strange reason my "stop" (media) button now automatically bring up the Radio part of this software?!

Other Thoughts: - There's no off switch. Very annoying since it has an external power source.
- Remote works fairly well. I miss the functions offered by previous remotes, most notably the undefined keys that the software allowed the user to define, and no mouse support (even if it wasn't particularly good it was at least there before).

4 out of 5 eggsExcellent Card

Pros: Card does bring in my cable tv as advertised.
The remote works as advertised.

Cons: Have to use Windows media to burn disc.
Can not do this with supplied software. Can record but can not burn. Get error message.

Other Thoughts: I have the USB remote attached to my monitor USB outlet. The box is attached to my computer. I have not moved either of them and don't intend to. Will probably present problems. But should be able to reconnect them to the same outlets without problems.

1 out of 5 eggsFoiled again

Pros: This Tuner device has everything a PC enthusiast could ever want from a TV Tuner device! These features are what caught my eye the first time i saw it!

Cons: Works great right out of the box with the Shipped software CD! But that is only short lived when you realize that the device and/or the IR sensor for the remote can never be disconnected from the USB port! And I mean NEVER!!! Or you will never get the drivers to find the device! Software is very slow, heavy on resources and buggy!

Other Thoughts: I really had high hopes for this Tuner, but as the creator of this device has foiled me with their products before i will never buy another product from them ever again! I am currently working on (3 weeks going now) a full refund from the product manufacturer but so far no answer! I bevlieve this company should get its act together if it wants to maintain its customer satisfaction or others will follow in my footsteps and go with their business elsewhere!

1 out of 5 eggsnothing but problems

Pros: Nice clear HD channels, but takes forever to change them, when it doesn't crash.

Cons: Software is horrible. Takes forever to load, crashes constantly. I have a super clean machine with a real nice video card that should run this without a problem. I've spent well over 60 hours now messing around with it every time it loses drivers or windows wont recognize. ATI / AMD tech support will only take emails and usually takes well over a week to respond, then the response is always something i've already tried or. As stated in other reviews, the catalyst software is so slow that I can start it up, make lunch and by the time i get back it is running, changing channels is about a 10 second delay. So about a month into it I gave up on it and just used an old VCR to change channels and ran it to the composite input of the box. I've owned the box since Feb of 2008 and just about every month have to spend several hours getting it to recognize on my machine again. The software is a resource hog. Even without running usually chews up about 512 mb of RAM.

Other Thoughts: Windows update always loads an "update" that makes the ATI box unrecognizable to my machine. I have a Dell optimized for audio/video production with dual AMD processors, 2g RAM and a smokin video card. If your HID input service is not running, the remote wont work. I also, am looking for something else, I've wasted too much precious time on this and am going to write it off as a loss.

4 out of 5 eggsConvenient

Pros: It's convenient and easy to use. I like the remote and use when I am watching movies or tv. I have one at home and use one while traveling.

Cons: If you don't install it while it is unplugged it can give you complications while trying to use it.

4 out of 5 eggsIt is what it is...

Pros: Easy to install with Vista Media Center. Great ota high def quality (when you can get a signal).

Cons: Analog cable channel quality through cable is mediocre to poor. The quality of antenna seems to have quite a bit to do with the ota hd channels you can pick up.

Other Thoughts: It is what it is. I bought for the ota hd ability and it works pretty well with the cheapest antenna you can buy. I happen to live on the dark side of a hill but am still able to pick up all the major channels with the exception of Fox. (A friend in the neighborhood with an external antenna can get them all with a higher signal strength.) I wouldn't buy it to use with analog cable alone.
