How do you interface this tuner with the computer.  Is it through the USB port?

This tuner is made for a pcie port which is on the motherboard of a desktop. To install it you need to physically open up the computer to install it which is not difficult, but if you are weary about opening up your computer I do not advise it. Ati does make a model for usb and I believe it is the same serial number is tvw750usb. Hope this helps

Short answer:  no.

Longer answer:  sort of.  When PC goes into sleep or hibernate mode it will not function when system wakes up; driver update on May 2014 also now causes BSODs when doing signal strength checks in Windows Media Center.  A number of reviews have noted these issues.  Still not fixed.  Bought mine with a rebate -- not returnable, so I just live with it.

Are this TV Turner support Windows 7 Ultimate and HDTV?

This card is junk. Do not buy it. Tried in several computers and it is horrible. Bad drivers and card is made cheaply. Don't waste your money, spend the extra and get a Hauppauge tuner.

Question 4

Can not get the TV Wonder 750PCie to work on a brand new Dell desktop with Windows 8.1. Device manager shows the card and indicates no problem  Scans for channels very slowly and has shut off several times.  Source is cable TV.  Any help out there?

I am running windows 7 setup went really good . it does kinda lad when channel changing . have had a couple of times the channels would stop coming in and would have to reboot then usally would fix the problem. i would make sure you are scanning channels on the digital tuner instead of analog it has both. not to familar with windows 8. but overall this card works good for us.

Has any one tried this with xbmc?   and what was your experience with it for xbmc

Am not familiar with XBMC, I read up and looks to be a nice add on for this card.
While it may work well with that software, I used Media Center with it and it works fine. BUT if you want the Remote control to work it seems you need to use the accompanied software that ATI bundled with the tuner. When I did that, media center would not work anymore as Totalmedia software overrode media center. You may have a similar issue. I love the card, and have no problems using media center as the tv guide is well worth the money spent.
Maybe look into a forum at XBMC and ad a thread asking them there.
Hope this helps you, but at the price I paid, unless you have need for a dual tuner card, this one is a great deal!

I want a device that will connect to my cable TV box ion order to let me record local access cable channel on my PC for editing.  Will this device do that?

I purchased this product to watch TV on my computer and it worked alright but I found the PCI card to not be the best option. The card worked for a little while but then it just stopped working altogether so I made the leap to the Diamond ATI WVW750USB thinking it would work better. Overall I'm much happier with the USB model and it is extremely portable. It would easily accommodate what you're looking to do.

Anyone using it with Win 8/WMC?

i have only used this win xp pro. i was looking to replace my old vid capture device, and this was not the replacement i had hoped for.

it is a tv tuner and it has record capabilities yet if you want to record that movie that comes on at 3am you have to say awake till 3am to press the go button. there doesn't seem to be any delay recording feature in the software. there seems to be alot of features missing (like full screen viewing) but maybe i just don't know how to access it.

i can say that if this hardware blewup, i would not replae it with same, even if it were half priced.

sorry, i guess i just like my old ADSTech DVD Xpress capture box (many many years old, but still works)

Honestly, Its a great card for the money+rebate!
I can play,edit and record anything that's over the air.
Picture and sound is great, and FM too.
Signal strength is very good with the included antenna.
No ? about it!

I don't use the external antenna.  Sorry.
I do think the card is a good one.  I use Media Player instead of the included software though.  It is much more stable.
