The Gefen GTB-HD4K2K-148 is a compact, easy to use solution for distributing one Ultra HD HDMI source signal to up to eight displays, ideal for retail establishments, sports bars, hotel lobbies, and more. It features HDCP, Deep Color, 3DTV pass-through, and lossless audio formats such as Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio, and is future-proof with the support for Ultra HD 4K x 2K. Gefen's FST technology speeds up the HDCP authentication process. If you're looking for a reliable, simple HDMI signal distributing/cloning solution, look no further.
How It Works
Using the supplied HDMI cable, connect the Ultra Hi-Def source to the HDMI input on the 1:8 Splitter. Connect up to eight Ultra HD displays to the HDMI outputs. Connect the included locking power supply to the 1:8 Splitter and to an available electrical outlet. Apply power to the source and displays. The HD source signal will now be seen on all eight displays simultaneously.
Gefen FSTFast Switching Technology (FST) is a Gefen software implementation for HDMI products. FST was created to improve the lengthy HDMI authentication process, based on the HDMI and HDCP specifications. FST allows for connecting/disconnecting or turning any of the HDTV displays on or off without affecting other displays within the audio/video distribution system.
