The HighPoint RocketRAID 2240 RAID Controller offers a highly integrated Infiniband connectivity solution for entry-level storage servers commonly found in small to medium size business (SMB) IT environments. The RocketRAID 2240 delivers optimized performance and features through the use of HighPoint's industry leading RAID technology. Harnessing SATA II technology, this unit delivers faster available throughput and support enterprise level features such as Native Command Queuing (NCQ), staggered driver spin-up and SAF-TE enclosure management support.
The RR2240 supports up to 16 SATA I or SATA II hard drives with multiple RAID level configuration meetings the needs of storage intensive applications such as video-editing and digital imaging. To ensure a smooth transition path, the RR2240 leverages the existing RocketRAID 2220 software architecture, allowing HighPoint to deliver industry leading quality and stable software.
