Use Drivers from SYBA
- Pros: I have Vista64. Vista loaded drivers for this device automatically and Windows said device working properly. However those drivers do not work, and you need to force Windows to replace its drivers. and use the drivers supplied by SYBA.
- Cons: Do not automatically trust Windows to use the correct drivers 100% of the time. I thought I had a bad card, when actually it was bad drivers supplied by Windows that were reported to be good.
Why did it need to be that difficult?
- Pros: Went in computer easy
- Cons: power source for it is stupid and made my own so I didn't have to screw with the lights on the computer. The cd for drivers is a coaster, had to download the setup.exe file from the manufacturers web site and installed it. Reboot and I have access to my drives now.
- Other Thoughts: Stupid... For being an IDE card it is cheap. It will do for now until it burns out. If you get it just download it from the site (the drivers) and don't hassle with the cd. And as far as power do what you want, the directions are so vague.

IDE does not work
- Pros: Drivers load nicely and are recognized
- Cons: I've been building & buying from Newegg for many years. This is the first bad product I ever received. It only had one review, but I took a chance because it fit the nitch of my needs. If does not work IDE drives. I did not try sata. Windows xp pro sp3 locks up and will not load if any ide is connected. I tried everything - Multiple ways. New asus MB and system build. A rock solid system except for this.
