5 out of 5 eggsGood little rack

Pros: Compact, sturdy, easy assembly, comes with mounting hardware (cage nuts + screws)

Cons: None noted

Other Thoughts: Currently using this as part of a CCNP lab with some switches and routers, works great. Surprised how sturdy it is for such a small unit. Fits just about anywhere which is nice, currently have it sitting on the floor.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Cheap Rack

Pros: Extremely cheap, sturdy, comes with screws, nice finish on the metal, did I mention cheap? Also, there are no sharp corners.

Cons: At first you may think it is not sturdy, but once you get a unit in it's actually very sturdy.

Other Thoughts: This thing holds my UPS, switch, server, modem, router, and raid enclosures perfectly.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat home rack

Pros: Well-built, inexpensive, easy to assemble, just the right size, fast delivery.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: As previous reviewers have described, this is an excellent little rack, perfect for a home setup. I have two Netra X1s (small 13" deep telecom server), a power strip, and a shelf for two small switches and a modem. I plan to add one or two more small servers in the future to complete the home web / mail / nameserver setup for several hobby websites.

As for ease of assembly, the only thing that got me was the five minutes it took to figure out that I needed to take the plastic pin out of the middle of the rubber feet before inserting them into the hole, then put it back in to secure it. D'oh! (Yeah, OK, maybe I shouldn't rate myself 5 stars for tech knowledge.)

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect... Just perfect for an under-desk rack system!

Pros: Very well built. Ive been looking for a good under-desk rack for test servers and and such for a while. I just couldn't bring myself to spend $300+++ for a dozen pieces of bent sheetmetal. It's perfect for SMALL rackmount servers (do NOT try to mount a full size server on a 2 post rack... ever), networking equipment, and probably AV equipment as well. And the price, well I feel like I stole it!

Cons: Instructions? Who needs instructions? Well if you are one of those people that can't assemble a sandwich without instructions, this is probably NOT for you.

Other Thoughts: As other posters stated, wire management WOULD be nice, but it's still the best value anywhere!

5 out of 5 eggsSo nice!

Pros: -sturdy
-perfect for what it is intended for, A/V and telecom
-has slots in the side of the bars for velcro cable management
-has a set of square mounting holes running perpendicular to the mains for zip-tie cable management

Cons: -it doesn't laugh at my jokes :(

Other Thoughts: I am a data center manager for 3 corporate data centers. I was a bit uneasy ordering such an inexpensive rack to house my Cisco certification lab equipment, but 12u was the perfect size for 4 switches and 4 routers with associated cable and power management.

Now that I have the first few pieces of equipment in, I see this rack as perfect for home A/V and CCNA/CCNP labs. The bottom has a face plate to hold the verticals together, so the bit of a lean back doesn't cause any problems. I am running a catalyst switch in the bottom U and it has plenty of clearance. If you are looking for a super clean install for networking, I would recommend a 1U power strip with at least 10 plugs, 2 of the 1U cable management bars and a 1U shelf. This leaves 8U of usable gear space with all cables dressed. This is a top notch product and the first thing I recommend to any of my friends or associates when they need a rack for home.

NOT FOR SERVERS! SERVERS NEED 4 POST RACKS!

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Lab Rack

Pros: Well built & extremely sturdy. No issues with mounting hardware.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: I bought this to mount my CCNA lab equipment in, and was a little concerned with the quality of the item based on Newegg's price. I've thrown three routers and three switches onto this rack, and I haven't experienced any problems with the unit so far.

5 out of 5 eggsI LOVE THIS

Pros: starting a home network, looked for a cheapo rack, saw this, bought it, and immediately felt like i had stolen it. it's super sturdy. If it was on sale, i'd understand, but they didn't stamp this out of poor-quality metal.

Cons: the washer/nut things that go in the square holes so they can be threaded are kinda hard to put in, but then, i have large hands.

Other Thoughts: there's a cross bar in the kit. that, with a patch panel at the top makes this almost incapable of swaying.
