Other Thoughts: You only get two SATA ports, even though there are four on the card. Two internal and two external.

Pros: i am using two of these in my main computer for 4 SATA II and 1 PATA ports
i have found them very reliable, the last one came with two eSATA to SATA connectors which are worth about $17 to me by themselves

Cons: none except they are only 2 port SATA controllers and i need more SATA ports

Other Thoughts: i generally find Rosewill parts to be a good value

Pros: Ran out of onboard sata's. This fit the bill and not too expensive

Cons: Does not run as fast as onboard raid. Got 170 ms/s average with onboard, get 120 or so with this card. Not complaining too much.

Other Thoughts: Hopefully will not break. Using WD RE3 drives in raid 0. Might just put dvd drives on this and use onboard raid.
