2 out of 5 eggsDied after a year

Pros: Good and stable while it lasted. Good and stable if you can turn it on.

Cons: After exactly one year it started to give problems.

First, I could note a little buzz sound. A month later, it didn't start my system all the times. I had to keep my system turned on all the time. Finally, it short-circuited and a terrible smell invaded my living room. Finally, it died.

Other Thoughts: The worst of all: Me and my power supply currently live in Colombia. I can't find a quality-power supply that easily. If I can find it, it's at least twice its Newegg price, and Newegg won't offer international shipping for now.

I won't buy Antec again. My PC is turned off since 3 weeks ago.

Manufacturer Response:

We apologize for the inconvenience that you're experiencing. Like with the majority of our products you are still covered by our 3 year warranty. Please contact customer support at 1-800-222-6832 or http://www.antec.com/newticket.html to submit a ticket.

2 out of 5 eggsSave your receipt for warranty

Pros: It's nice to be able to tweak some of the voltages and control the fans from the front of the case.

Cons: This power supply worked well for about a year, and then started developing problems waking up from hibernation on S3 suspend. It reached the point where I had to power cycle from the switch on the back of the power supply to boot after a normal shutdown, and finally the machine wouldn't boot at all - fans would run for 5-30 seconds depending on what USB devices were plugged in and powered up but no beep codes and no boot.

Other Thoughts: This is the 2nd Antec power supply in a row that has failed on me after less than 2 years of use. Antec is pretty good about replacing them under warranty but be prepared to spend some time chasing squirrely problems until you figure out that the power supply is starting to fail.

I've switched to PC Power & Cooling in hope of getting a power supply that will last.

5 out of 5 eggsgreat PSU

Pros: excellent PSU for overclocking, adjustable rails and black molex connectors.

Cons: screen on back may limit airflow, i think they could get it to run cooler with better air management.

Other Thoughts: I bought this PSU in Jan 06 and it is now 20 months later and i need to replace it. I have been running it overloaded all this time. my 12v rail went down to 11v so i had to shut off a few extras. the rail came back up to almost 12v so i been limping along with it. any lesser PSU would have fried within a month under the conditions ive been running it.
i added several extensions and soldered extra rails to run all of my components. i am ordering another replacement right now but i will be adding a 400 watt to run my extra stuff.

5 out of 5 eggsWonderful

Pros: The fan specific power controls work well. I can turn the fan speed to max and hear the roar as my 5 fans crank up for some serious gaming action.

Cons: The voltages are not at round numbers when the dials are at the tic mark, its a little under. Didnt seem to matter, but i got the voltages where they should be.

Other Thoughts: The dials seem to be unnessary. The blue led in the 12volt dial only turns on intermitently- I dont care. I put all the extra cables in two unused CD drive bays. Front panel fits fine in my Antec Sonata I

3 out of 5 eggsgreat psu but....

Pros: cheap and good product

Cons: When chassis fan of this product is turned off it works great but when it's on you feel like you are in the airplane. it is that loud. so just get a case fan which is not loud.

4 out of 5 eggsCable Mess

Pros: The PSU works great. It powers everything I have. The fan control is pretty nice, too. My case had fans with Molex connectors that I hooked to the fan only connectors, and now the speed of the fans adjusts itself. You get a lot of connectors.

Cons: You get a lot of connectors. There are so many cables that my case looks like a big mess inside. There's no easy way to wrap them either. It's pretty awful to work inside my case with all these cables. I'm worried about the airflow with all of the cables in there.

Other Thoughts: If you want working power with lots of connections, get this. If you want a clean, easy-to-work-with case that doesn't have a web of wires sprawled over the motherboard, look else where.

4 out of 5 eggsGood PSU, voltage is iffy

Pros: The TruePower 2.0 is an amazingly stable and powerful PSU. Never had an issue even under the most straining circumstances I could put it in.

Cons: The voltage controller looked like a great idea. Control the voltages and the fans with one control. The fact is that the voltages the mobo show are never what they should be - you can get them to the correct voltage but you have to turn the dials to the max. The fan control is a funny thing too, dont buy this psu for the fan control like I did. The control is very sensative, the only real difference that I can tell is in the last cm of dial travel (where it goes from 800 rpm to 2000 rpm)

Other Thoughts: Good PSU, wish the voltage control worked better

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: One of the best and most stable power supplys out there. Although this PSU is a little on the pricey side..you get a solid PSU with connections for every device you have.

Cons: Only con is trying to hide the un-used connections when sleeving the PSU in a MOD
