1 out of 5 eggsLasted 4 years, then let out smoke!

Pros: It worked pretty well for 4 years.

Cons: When it went, it filled one floor of our house with misty smoke. Everything still stinks. I mean it REALLY stinks. The inside of the computer reeks even after a thorough cleaning. Having the fans on releases a ridiculous stench. I am happy my wife noticed it and unplugged everything. This could have evolved into a fire.

Other Thoughts: This is common with SP350s. I cannot believe mine lasted so long, but it was always in a low-wattage and minimal usage home computer.
After reading about how poorly made these are (caps and all) I will NEVER buy an Antec again (I have had probably 5 or so over the past decade). I had considered them to the pinnacle of quality as they were years ago. I sure don't think this way anymore!

1 out of 5 eggsPick a different power supply

Pros: Inexpensive

Cons: Didn't last long, ended up having to replace them at my cost.

Other Thoughts: I bought about four of these because they were a good price. They all worked fine the first week, but soon started squealing, and caused intermittent problems. All had to be replaced. I contacted the Antec RMA supervisor, Don Macagba, but he is not willing to fix or swap them out. I recommend replacing it with a 380 watt green p.s. Yes it's still an Antec, most of there products are decent, just not the PS-350's.

Cons: only 350w

Other Thoughts: Low wattage can't power some new gfx cards, recently upgraded to a 500w

1 out of 5 eggsJunk

Pros: DOA, no good, none.

Cons: Fried mobo.

Other Thoughts: RMA to antec. Received same unit back ( I marked) and still the same, no good. Luckily I tested it this time before installing. Terrible support. Second time I've been burnt , but the last.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Powersupply, at least the 1.1 version

Pros: -Mine Works flawlessly under a descent load
-Stable Voltages
-Very Quiet

Cons: -Many others have reported a high percentage of defective units, so untrustworthy for resell

Other Thoughts: The 1.1 version of this power supply was included with my Antec case, which I purchased almost 2 years ago, an began using over 1.5 years ago, and this power supply has been working flawlessly since then.

It is currently powering an overclocked A64 3000+ @ 2.2Ghz, 1GB RAM, 7600GT, 2 hard drives, and 2 optical, and the fans barely ever kicks on over a whisper.

However, with so many reports of faulty copies, I am very hesitant to sell these as replacements to my customers. Hopefully Antec will clean up the quality of their Smart Power Supplies.

1 out of 5 eggsLow Voltage Rails DOA

Pros: These supplies are okay when they work.

Cons: Only produced 12V rail. Low voltage rails missing. Need to RMA.

Other Thoughts: This item came with an Antec case. When I tried to fire up the PC, the fans came on, and that was it. I couldn't even turn it off with the power button. I replaced it with an old SL-350, and the system came right up. I consider myself lucky that it didn't damage my system. Quality control at Antec is clearly slipping.

Other Thoughts: What happend to Antec and there super quality and super reliable power supply's i am so disapointed

2 out of 5 eggsGood...while it lasted

Pros: Good PSU out of the box. Lasted a good while before I had problems with it.

Cons: Decaying power -- The power is now going down on my computer. USB has stopped functioning correctly and causing PC to halt on Windows startup. The back fan stopped working about 2 months ago. This of course could have been a hint that the thing was starting to fail. I continued to use it b/c I was having no problems with heat due to other fan inside of casing. But now I'm here at work diagnosing and find that the PSU is the problem. So....BLAH!

Other Thoughts: I do have the 400W version now, but I had the 500W initially. I got it home, out of the box, and into the computer. Started using it, and then when I was done of course turned it off. I got a whiff of a burning smell, and guess what, it was the PSU. Both fans didnt work, RIGHT FROM THE BOX! Returned it to St**les, but they didn't have another 500, so i got the 400.
