1 out of 5 eggsReplaced after 2 1/2 years

Pros: Attractive design, cables long enough to reach opposite side of motherboard in case with bottom mounted power supply

Cons: Had to be replaced after 2 1/2 years. No warranty information in the manual or at FSP website.

Other Thoughts: Died in a way that I suspected the motherboard to have failed (when powering up, all system fans and LED's turned on but no POST or video). Expect the power supply to outlive everything else. Waiting for reply from FSP customer service.

2 out of 5 eggsWierd noise that is similar to a hard drive

Pros: Nice cabling, sleek look, excellent color, ascetically pleasing

Cons: spent about an hour trying to pin down what was making this noise in my case. At first i thought it was my hard drives...but it is the fan on the power supply. when running, the fan emits an annoying, constant noise that is completely unacceptable for a 150$ PSU. I'm thinking about taking apart the psu and wiring a new fan in... I should have gone with someone i already trust...This was a mistake

Other Thoughts: other than the fan problem, the power supply provides stable, clean power. It also lives up to the 80 plus claims. I would steer clear of this and go for a thermaltake or someone else that knows what they are doing. 5 year warranty or not...I'd through it out in a week due to the noise

2 out of 5 eggsNoisy

Pros: Modular. Easily fits into my ATX case. Cable are flexible enough to go where I want them to. Runs my ATI HD3870 video card without a problem.

Cons: Noisy. This PSU emits a loud chirping-grinding noise that seems to be related to the fan. My 3 case fans are semi-quiet, but the noise from this PSU can easily be heard and is quite annoying. The fan also works intermittently which maybe the reason for the noise. There appears to be no obstructions in the PSU housing.

Other Thoughts: I am on my second PSU of this make and it behaves exactly like the first one I received. I'm still deciding to send this one back for another or just get something else. I have a 460W PSU from this company that still runs and is silent so I figure their more powerful version would be just as good. I guess I am getting defective ones!!
