4 out of 5 eggsDecent PSU

Pros: Decent quality, provides a good dose of amperage on the 12V rail. Doesn't get very hot even at 120W usage

Cons: Annoying fan. not so much loud but ball-bearing rumbling annoying. Need to replace the fan.

Other Thoughts: Kinda pricey for a 220W PSU, but it's a step up from the Apevias and Athena Power models.

5 out of 5 eggsGood and Reliable

Pros: I have a total of 4 of these power supplies and all have not shown any signs of giving up. They range from 1.5 years to a couple months old.

Cons: I wish they had more SATA power connections.

Other Thoughts: I have two powering two firewalls, one powering a smaller NAS, and another powering a small virtual host.

4 out of 5 eggsSolid HTPC PSU

Pros: 1. Solid build quality, not spectacular but solid.
2. FSP is a reputable PSU manufacturer that I have a good amount of trust as they OEM PSUs for other brands.
3. 80 PLUS Certified - not the best but given the other options in this class, for the price, this is a good feature.
4. In the nMedia HTPC case i used (without sound proofing) the PSU cannot be heard between all the other A/V equipment.

Cons: 1. I used an AsRock X88 ITX MB with this PSU and the 24 pin connector was a little short for ATX power. I had to buy an extender cable to get it to reach. This was mainly due to a combination of two factors: The AsRock MB has its connector on the absolute opposite side of the board from where I have the PSU mounted, and that the HTPC case I am using mounts the PSU in the middle.
2. All the above being said, the ATX cable should have been designed with another 3 inches slack. I don't think my configuration is that irregular. It would not have been a problem if the MB had the ATX power connector located anywhere else on the board.

Other Thoughts: Mini ITX power supplies seem overpriced in general, but given the other options under $75, this was easily the best when I ordered it.

Advice: If you can wait for a deal on a more efficient PSU, IE Bronze or Gold rated, I would wait in the weeds until a special came along. If you can't wait, at the very least stick with reputable OEM brands FSP or Seasonic. They cost more but I have faith they are less likely to fail or catch of fire.

Pros: It was shipped and I received it

Cons: It was dead on arrival. Double checked power supply with a power supply tester and got no voltage.

5 out of 5 eggsIn the voice of a French Mars colonist

Pros: Earthlings,

It pleases me to see you considering an energy efficient PSU rather than continuing your wreckless path of self-destruction. You mini-ITX weirdos will be pleased to note that this PSU fits most cases sans modification.

Cons: Underpowered for interstellar travel (if that is your thing).

5 out of 5 eggsWorkhorse in my server

Pros: Fits the Slimline 3155 just perfectly. Watch where you screw it into the case--don't use all the holes the case gives you or you will short something inside. That's what I did with my first one and FSP hooked me up with an RMA. It has been running in my server for the last 7 months 24/7 and have had zero issues, even with a couple power outages it hasn't caused me any trouble.

Cons: Can't really think of any cons. Has worked great. I have an 80mm case fan running at about 2400 rpm which is louder than the fan for this unit so although I doubt it is completely silent it is more than fine for a deadhead server that's tucked away somewhere.

3 out of 5 eggsFollow up to my previous review

Pros: I received the replacement unit quickly and it reads perfect voltage across the board, albeit just slightly under as I previously mentioned. The replacement came in an unmarked box, well wrapped, but had no refurbished sticker and appears to be new.

Cons: This has great specs but the wire gauge is just a hair too thin, but still workable. -half egg
Also the replacement unit I received has a shorter ATX connector which will not reach the HP Micro Server motherboard without an extension. It's about 1.5" too short. - half egg
Also, this unit has only 3 molex connectors, the HP requires 4, but I have an extra y-splitter laying around and I'm not installing all four drives, so no big deal.
It reads perfect voltage across the board, albeit just slightly under as I previously mentioned. -half egg

Other Thoughts: I don't like having to buy an ATX extension, but maybe it's just this one. Maybe it is a refurb? It sure looks like new.
As usual, dealing with Newegg is easy.

2 out of 5 eggsclose, but no cigar

Pros: Fits HP Micro Server G7 perfectly. Claimed 80+ rated, 220W, 16A on 12V. There's some weight to it, for what that is worth.

Cons: Exceeds 990ms limit for the power good signal
11.3V for 12V line is technically within limit, but I'm not satisfied with that. Picky, I know.
20 (or 22?) AWG throughout the trunk, which, for me, is not good enough. IMO, it feels cheap.
Price could be better.

Other Thoughts: I RMA'd this. Pickings are slim for Flex/Mini-ITX PSUs on Newegg.

1 out of 5 eggsFire FIre!

Pros: small perfect size

Cons: Caught on fire when I walked out of the room for a minute.

Other Thoughts: Would RMA but I dont want another fire and there isnt much left of the psu overall. Took what was left over apart to see what happened exactly. My findings: The psu caught on fire..... Maybe it was just a bum one but now my project is set back another 2 weeks for me to find a different one (different company obviously)

3 out of 5 eggsGood but loud

Pros: Fits in place of custom Inwin case power supply that died.

Cons: Fan was really loud despite loading of only about 130watts. Replaced with quieter one and I am much happier.
