5 out of 5 eggs

This review is from: FSP Group AURUM S 500W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Active PFC Power Supply with Intel Haswell Certified

Pros: Super quiet; handy velcro ties included to make the install clean;

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I've bought FSP in the past and had no problems with them. I was running a 430w Corsair and this 500w is much quieter. It's even more quiet than the case fans.

Install was made simple with the included velcro straps so I could tie everything up so the case looks as clean as possible.

5 out of 5 eggsLess hype, more product.

This review is from: FSP Group AURUM S 500W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Active PFC Power Supply with Intel Haswell Certified

Pros: Quiet, Solid, Well made.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Have been running this PSU for a month now without issue. I really felt overwhelmed by all the info out there on PSU. After extensive research of manufacturers, and re-sellers, I decided FSP was a solid unit without all the hype. Made and sold by the manufacturer, thus no mark up by second company. Solid state circuitry. Gold certified and plenty of power at a really good price. So far not disappointed.

5 out of 5 eggsGOLD cert @ 500W level

This review is from: FSP Group AURUM S 500W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Active PFC Power Supply with Intel Haswell Certified

Pros: Just works. Nice long sleeved cables. Appropriate connectors for 500W power capacity. Nice to find gold certified efficiency at this relatively low wattage. I build low or mid level workstations with discrete graphics, not gamer 'big rigs', and this is all the power they need and it's great that FSP has worked on higher efficiency at this lower level wattage and price. I'm not testing and benchmarking - just relying on the certification. For the price in this power range I chose these because most of the machines I build will basically run 12/7-24/7 for years to come.

Cons: None for me.
